I to have lost a baby, it was on the 1st july 1999, and he was born at 20 weeks at 0350. nothing will erase the memory of that day, and the 12hour labour I endured to deliver our Brock. Whilst the midwives were awesome, nothing helps the mum and dad. It does get better, but not for a long time, adn the doctors telling you to take antidepressants and get over it, and just try again!!! such non understanding of the grief, the feelings of dispair and the loss of all that goes with the inability to produce and take home a healthy happy new life form. It gets better, but no one can tell you how or what to do to make it better, you have to be able to see the positive side, and move forward when you feel ready, not when everyone else tells you to.
I lost a child this year and this threw me into a whirl wind of emotions. I can't still talk about it, it hurts..even though I am over it but it still hurts. It is one of those things that you can never prepare yourself for. And Mia it is so true that it was an incredibly isolating experience. I couldn't even talk to my spouse about how I was feeling. It made me appreciate my son even more, who is two..and I am hopeful to God that my next pregenancy will be healthier and happier :)
