The news of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement has come with a deluge of news dissecting their relationship that has lived, largely, outside the eye of the public.
But now we know, thanks very much, there was never a question about them ending up together. They were always destined to be. Just ask Love Actually.
A meme floating around on Twitter this week proves as much, comparing the royal couple with Sam and Joanna from the 2003 classic.
While both clearly resemble their character counterparts, the back story matches quite nicely, too. Sam is British, growing up without his mother. Joanna is American, and the ultimate entertainer.
Twitter was naturally and exceptionally impressed with the comparison.
