On Wednesday, a 21-year-old man in Newcastle went for a run before stopping to eat a kebab and according to Western Australia Premier Mark McGowan, that’s undoubtedly one of the funniest things that has happened this year.
And… true.
During a press conference on Friday, the WA Premier was taking questions on the coronavirus pandemic when a reporter asked for his thoughts on the man in NSW who was fined for eating a kebab after going for a run.
“I find it hard to believe someone was going for a run and then stopped for a kebab,” McGowan began, chuckling at the very concept.
“They do things very differently in NSW,” he continued to giggle.
“There’s nothing wrong with going for a run… and having a kebab but…I don’t think there’s anything wrong with…we’re not making it unlawful to go for a run and eat a kebab,” the Premier said in hysterics.
Look. It’s important we go through the step-by-step and shot-by-shot reaction of Mark McGowan because quite literally he COULD NOT stop laughing.
You can also capture the precise moment at which McGowan decides this one act of this one man is emblematic of all people in NSW and thus confirms his long-held conspiracy theory that “they do things differently in NSW”.

Seriously, lighten up.
In the midst of a serious pandemic, having a laugh after hearing a man got fined after running and eating a kebab is hardly worth writing the above article on, even if the premier got that facts wrong (Do we really need to fact check about men running, eating a kebab and getting a fine???). Its seems that you are oversensitive about the issue. The police force I know would have a laugh about it. Why the over sensitivity about NSW also?
Exactly my thoughts. I think too, the Premier may have had the giggles as a stress release, it’s been a difficult time for leaders too.
