Welcome to Mamamia’s Best and Worst. If you’re new to Mamamia, you’ve come to the place where we talk about our weeks – specifically the best and worst parts of it.
Aside from the obvious one – it’s Friday, it’s a long weekend this weekend and naturally we’re all pretty keen to knock off and stop checking emails for three days (kidding, I’m not going to do that).
My other best is how I spent my Thursday night.
I put on an eye patch (then immediately took it off because it was really uncomfortable), I donned a pirate hat and I proudly looked through an eyeglass. It wasn’t because I’ve got some weird pirate fetish (Johnny Depp, come at me). I danced on a rooftop thanks to 2Day FM’s Dan and Maz, who held a mash-up party with a pirates and space theme.
Here’s me in a pirate hat, with our Editorial Assistant Zoe, who tore up the dance floor in a way I can’t even describe.
And here’s Maz, one half of Dan and Maz, whose outfit put everyone else to shame.
There was way too much dancing for a Thursday night, let me tell you.

As for the worst part of my week, it’s definitely attached to my best.
After returning home from the pirate party with a bit of a sore head and blurred vision that I can’t just blame on my poor eyesight, I remembered I had to pack my suitcase for a flight to Brisbane today. I threw some clothes from my floor into a bag and… that’s all I remember. I really have no idea what I’ve packed – and to be honest, I’m a little scared to look inside.
