This is the plotline of a video filmed in a night club in Mallorca. It features a 19-year-old British tourist and a supporting cast of local men. The video was obtained by Spanish publication Mallorca Diario, and has since been seen across the world.

You will not find the video in this post. (Primarily because we couldn’t find a version which featured any form of pixellation.)

The practice is known as ‘mamading’. ‘Mamada’ is Spanish for ‘sex act’. Basically, a female tourist (normally British) is promised free drinks in a bar in exchange for sex acts performed on the bar’s patrons.

The video of the practice has prompted lots of questions.

Vice UK has questioned why “competitive dick sucking” is something women would want to get into.

The Daily Beast has questioned whether this is really a ‘trend’, or if it is a ‘trend’ like the Rainbow Parties of the 2000s, which occurred much more frequently on daytime talk shows than in suburban garages.

The Mallorcan mayor is asking his own questions, telling Mallorca Diario that he is launching a police investigation into the incident.

But we have a few different questions:

Why wasn’t one of her friends looking out for her?

Was anyone looking out for her?  Would you walk past if you saw a 19-year-old girl surrounded by a circle of blokes?

But above everything else: why didn’t someone just buy the poor girl a drink?
