'I'm not some scarlet lady.' What's been said since *that* Claire and Adam MAFS cheating scandal.

It's our first cheating scandal of the season! And we have to say 'first', because if you've been watching along, you know there's been much cheatin' about.

In fact, Married At First Sight 2023 has gifted us with not one but two cheating scandals so far. The DRAMA.

But it's the first cheating scandal that has everyone talking right now – between Adam, Janelle, Claire and Jesse.

It all happened when the cast went for a night out at the pub. Claire and Adam said they went off to one side together, and that's when they kissed behind their respective partner's backs.

They kept it quiet for a while, even though Jesse questioned whether his TV wife had been faithful to him. But this week, it all reached a peak when Claire shared the truth – she had in fact kissed Adam, she then regretted it, but Adam asked her to keep it a secret, leaving her in a hard position.

And the fallout has been pretty hard to watch.

Watch the moment Claire admits to kissing Jesse. Post continues below.

Since the whole scandal went to air, the MAFS cast have had plenty to say about it all – which we've obviously logged in one handy spot for you right here.

MAFS bride Sandy apparently knew of the kiss, according to now-leaked text messages.

On Tuesday, a bunch of WhatsApp messages ended up in Yahoo Lifestyle's lap, the publication saying Sandy witnessed Adam and Claire's kiss that fateful night.

According to the texts, she was planning on telling producers the very next day.

In a text exchange with Adam, Sandy expressed her disappointment over what had happened, and Adam apologised to her.

"I'm sorry for how I made you [feel] honestly," he wrote.

"Just wanna turn back the clocks and start fresh for real. I'm glad you're not holding me to that and know this experiment is getting the better of us and production clearly doing their absolute best to twist s**t and turn people on each other. No matter what drama we all gotta face we all be friends after this once all [is] said and done."

Sandy told Adam "I don't hate you" but added she'll "have to tell [producer] Molly" about the off-camera kiss. However, she never ended up telling the producers and chose to stay silent instead.

A controversial conversation between Adam and Janelle didn't make it to air.

So Dramatic! has reported that there was a deleted scene from Adam and Janelle's confrontation conversation when Janelle found out about the kissing scandal.

They alleged the scene was edited to omit "borderline abuse" from Adam.

During the recent episode, Adam attempted to talk to Janelle, but she closed the door on Adam, disengaging from the conversation. But according to a few sources, a lot more happened.

"When she tried to close the door, he jammed his arm and foot in the door so she couldn't close it," they explained. "She was terrified and shaking [because] he was extremely aggressive towards her. He didn't respect her space at all. He kept trying to come into her room when she had told him not to."

It was at this point the source alleged that Adam acting in a way that was "borderline domestic abuse", saying producers were forced to move him "to a different floor of the apartments".

"It was so much worse than what was shown."

Claire shares what the kiss was actually like.

Speaking on Nova's Fitzy and Wippa, Claire said the kiss she shared with Adam at the pub lasted "two seconds, three seconds max". She also said she was "nervous" speaking to media, given what happened on the show.

"I've never cheated in a committed relationship. [It's] not something I would do. I have been cheated on and it is awful. It sucks to be on the other side of that. I'm not some scarlet lady."

As for who instigated the kiss, Claire was unsure how to respond, saying: "Um I don't know I think… Do I just blame Adam?"

"I think it was a, it was a mutual thing. I mean... he's a charismatic guy we got along, we're laughing you know, and we vibed you know."

Fitzy and Wippa also asked if she thought about kissing Adam again after that first encounter, which Claire said "No I've thought about punching Adam". Meaning we can expect things to go further south on the show...

Janelle said she had sex with Adam the night that he cheated on her – unaware of what had gone down at the pub.

On the We've Done The MAFS podcast, co-host Chantelle Schmidt asked Janelle if she thought there was "any truth" behind the initial accusation that Claire and Adam had kissed.

Janelle explained that initially she had no reason not to trust Adam, saying she believed the accusations to be false during the experiment. Her opinion has likely changed now that all of this info has emerged...

In the podcast interview, Janelle also revealed that she and Adam had sex on that night when it all went down.

"Me and Adam were literally cuddling on the couch all night. We were even intimate that night."

This means the night Adam cheated by kissing Claire, he then went home and had sex with Janelle without being honest about what had occurred a few hours earlier.

Janelle and Jesse have remained close mates since the experiment, which we love to see.

To end on a more wholesome note, it appears that despite all the drama and heartache, Jannelle and Jesse were one another's support system in the wake of learning about the cheating scandal.

We saw the pair comfort one another during one of this week's episodes, and Twitter was full of viewers saying it was the best moment of MAFS 2023 so far.

And So Dramatic! received a tip-off from a local in Perth, saying they had seen Janelle and Jesse on a 'date' together recently since filming ended. They were at a restaurant, the source saying: "They look like a couple."

The pair both live in Perth too, so it makes sense that they were hanging out.

A production insider did however confirm the pair are "just friends" who " get along really well", which is equally lovely to hear. Friends who go through heartbreak together, stay together!
