'Sleep until 11am' and 17 other things you can't do now that you're a mum.

We all get the same amount of hours in the day and we streeeetch them as far as they will go. But no matter how organised we are, how much we plan, how many ‘To Do’ lists we make or how many obnoxious reminders we set on our smart phones, there’s lots of things we just don’t have time for. Healthy habits often fall by the wayside, as do three hour hair cut and colours, long lunches and watching our favourite TV shows.

But here’s the awesome thing about modern life – weekends, and Australia’s abundance of long weekends. So we can exercise hard two or three days a week, do weekend detoxes (suck down those smoothies), put our hair in a cute top knot, replace long lunches with long Saturday night dinners and binge watch our favourite TV shows.

Still, it’s always fun to remember when you were a teenager, sleeping until 2pm, just because you could. Or staying on one phone call for 40 minutes talking about nothing.

In part seven of our eight-part 5 to 9 diaries, we ask the question, “What do you no longer have time for now that you’re a mum?”

And your time to answer, starts, NOW.

What do you no longer have time for now that you’re a mum?

NESCAFÉ Café Menu® Team, has acknowledged that the modern Australian woman is busier and working longer hours than ever before.

Research shows that the traditional 9 to 5 workday does not exist; instead 5 to 9 is a better reflection of modern women today.

To salute the heroic efforts of women and encourage them to take a moment for themselves, we have re-recorded the classic song, ‘9 to 5’ and created a music video showcasing all the challenges women deal with in their 5 to 9 day.
