Fergie and Josh Duhamel were together for 8 years. This week, Josh remarried.

In 2017, singer Fergie and actor Josh Duhamel announced they had divorced after eight years of marriage.

The couple said in a statement at the time: "With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year. To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family."

The pair first met back in 2004 after the Black Eyed Peas filmed an episode of the TV show Las Vegas, which Duhamel starred in. By 2007, they were engaged and married by 2009. Then in 2013 they welcomed a son together, named Axl.

Reflecting on the relationship, Duhamel said on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast that co-parenting has been a key priority for the two of them in the years since their split.

"Fergie and I had a great relationship. I love that girl and I always will. Unfortunately, we didn't work. But I will always have her back and she is the mother of my baby."

From music comebacks to a wedding, here's what Fergie and Duhamel's lives look like now.

Fergie.

Fergie, real name Stacy Ann Ferguson, is arguably most famous for her role in the wildly popular hip-hop group the Black Eyed Peas.

In 2017, Fergie decided to officially step away from the group, although she hadn't performed with them extensively for years leading up to the announcement.

She decided to leave the group to focus on her solo career and launched her own record label Duchess Music, and released her second solo album Double Duchess in 2017.

"It's been 11 years since I released an album so I felt like it was time to show all the parts – intimate, fun, laughing, crying," she told People. "All of it. And this is the place for me to release what's in my journals. I've been through a lot of experiences in life and I felt like why not share them?"

Although the album wasn't a massive critical-acclaimed success, Fergie has said that she enjoys the craft behind everything she does, not just the end result.

"Instead of trying to be a perfectionist, I've learned a little bit to laugh at myself and just be okay with the fact that I'm not always going to get it and it's going to be really imperfect a lot of the time."

In 2018, she hosted two seasons of the Fox competition reality show, The Four: Battle for Stardom, which featured celebrity panellists such as Sean 'Diddy' Combs, DJ Khaled, and Meghan Trainor.

Most recently, Fergie forayed into fashion, starting her own shoe line.

She said to Fashion Magazine: "Shoes are a metaphor; you're walking your path. Everyone's got their own path and it's an individual manifestation of everything that has occurred in your life. For me, it's always, 'walk your path with pride, walk your path with confidence.' Another metaphor is to stomp out all those fears. It can be that self, that inner critic that is in our way and when you stomp that out of the way, the inspiration flows."

This year, her hit 2007 song 'Glamourous' was sampled heavily by American rapper Jack Harlow in his song 'First Class'. It has since brought her music back to the forefront, and the two performed together at the MTV Awards.

As for dating, Fergie has kept things out of the public eye since her split with Duhamel.

In 2017, Fergie said to Wendy Williams of her divorce: "I wanted to stay married forever. He is [good looking], always will be. I love Josh, he's the father of my child. We forever have that project together, and we're doing the best we can."

The pair continue to go to their son's school meetings together, his kindergarten graduation, and share 50/50 custody.

Josh Duhamel.

In recent years, Duhamel has been focusing on his acting career, with a bunch of strong new titles to his name – including The Thing About Pam with Renée Zellweger, and also Love Simon.

He also replaced Armie Hammer in the upcoming film Shotgun Wedding with Jennifer Lopez, amid the allegations surrounding Hammer.

Mostly recently, Duhamel is in the headlines for his new relationship with beauty pageant contestant and model Audra Mari.

Back in October 2019 they were first spotted together, and by 2020 all was confirmed. In January 2022, they announced their engagement.

"It's on!! She found a message in a bottle that washed ashore and said YES!!" Duhamel wrote on Instagram. Fergie commented on the post, congratulating the pair.

Sharing the details of the engagement, Duhamel said to Access that he knew he wanted to propose on the beach but only thought of the 'message in a bottle idea' the day of the event.

"That morning, it kinda hit me – I was like, 'You know what? You guys have any empty bottles around here?' And I went and talked to the concierge," he said. "So we planned it all out – I was gonna walk her down there as this thing was floating up."

There was a moment of panic before the proposal when the bottle wasn't on the sand when they walked up to the sandbar. It took one diversion in the form of a game of cornhole for the bottle to wash up onto the sand so Duhamel could pop the big question.

"Oh, I knew that pretty early on," he said when asked if he thought she was 'the one'.

"She's an awesome girl, [and] she's perfect for me. We're both from North Dakota and I think there's a commonality that we have. She's great. Very similar interests – we love lake life. She's got a cabin not far from mine. We just match. She's an amazing person."

In May 2022, Duhamel said he and Mari were in "full prep mode" for their wedding.

"I just want there to be great music, I want to have people around that we love, and I want to be present," he said to People. "I want to make sure that when the night comes, I don't want to be overcome by the moment. I just want to be present and have a great time."

And this week, Duhamel and Mari had their wedding in North Dakota.

The 49-year-old and 28-year-old had all their loved ones present for the big day, with Mari writing on Instagram: "When you go through the wedding process it really sinks in how many people have touched your life thus far... when I think about it I honestly just cry – thank YOU to my entire village (as my mama calls it). This gal's heart has never been so full, content and happy."

Reflecting on the age gap in their relationship, Duhamel previously said on Armchair Expert that he wants to have more kids, so was looking for a woman young enough to be able to have kids.

"I'm not 30 years old anymore," Duhamel said. "I want to have more kids... in the next few years. So it's more about finding someone young enough to have kids.

"It's not as if I am out there trying to just f**k anything. I want to find a girl that I can be with and have a family with."

His son with Fergie, Axl, is now eight years old. And in a recent interview, Duhamel opened up about his parenting style.

"I can be a softie sometimes, but he knows not to push me too far because he knows that I'll put my foot down when it's time," Duhamel said to Yahoo Life in 2022.

"But he does like to push. I think that's what kids do, is they test to see what the boundaries are... but he's a really thoughtful, respectful, kind kid. So we don't really have too much in the way of disciplining because he comes home from school and does his homework right away. Can't be mad at him for that. He really is a responsible kid and very thoughtful and kind, and that's really all you can ask for."

As for what Axl's interests are, Duhamel said that his son doesn't take after him regarding his love for sports, but that he definitely has a creative side.

"He likes drawing and making stuff. He loves tinkering and making gadgets and things like that. Doesn't say he won't be into the sports – trust me, I'm trying – but at the same time, [I'm] like, 'You know what, man? You do you. Whatever makes you happy'."

In the same interview, Duhamel said that Axl gets on well with Mari and that all is well in their blended family.

"He is very excited about it," Duhamel says of his son's reaction to his relationship.

"When I first asked him, I said, 'What do you think, kid? I think I'm gonna do this.' He's like, 'Hey, yeah, I'm okay with it. But Dad, it's your choice. It's your choice.' That was his response," he said.

"What I really try to do is stop and put everything else on pause and just try to be as present as I can with him. Because that's all they really care [about]; they just want a good time with their parents. He loves hanging out with me."
