The wife of Matthew Hall, who lost his life to heatstroke, has given birth.

The death of 30-year-old Queensland man Matthew Hall rattled the country on the 16th of January.

The healthy and fit pilot, who was due to become a dad within the coming weeks, died from heatstroke while dirt bike riding on the Sunshine Coast – stripping him of the chance to ever see his only child.

We cannot imagine the pain his wife, Emily Hall, must be feeling with every passing day. Out of this tragedy, however, she has shared some beautiful, life-affirming news.

The healthy arrival of her and Matt’s baby boy.

Overnight, Emily posted to her Facebook page from Mater Mothers Hospital, writing: “Matt and I created the most perfect little man. My reason, my everything.”

Born in the morning on the 2nd of February, Harrison Matthew Alexander weighs 8.1lbs.

When Matthew died, his loving wife described him as her "best friend and soul mate".

"I will love him enough for the two of us and I will make sure I do Matt proud and be the best mum to him."

Emily, you will be a terrific mother. Congratulations on the arrival of your darling boy. We are sending you our deepest, heartfelt wishes.
