The amazing photos of a mum delivering her own baby via c-section.

One of the biggest regrets we usually hear from c-section mothers is the fact that they never got to hold their baby straight after birth.

But for Gold Coast mum, Jane Prichard, that wasn’t going to be an issue.

Prichard delivered her own baby during a c-section, pulling her son Tex out of her wound and placing him straight onto her chest to hold.

‘The head was out, and top of the shoulders, and he [the obstetrician] said "Jane, it’s your turn now." I put my hand under Tex’s arms and pulled, and Dr Dutt was saying to be slow, do it slowly,'  Mrs Prichard told Daily Mail Australia.

'I had to use a little bit of force, and I pulled him out slowly on to my chest,' she continued.

Tex is Prichard's second child with her husband, Matthew. After suffering from four miscarriages and going through several rounds of IVF, Prichard was delighted to fall pregnant again naturally.

It's amazing and beautiful to see she had the birth experience she wanted.
