Fans raise concerns about health of David Campbell's daughter after Instagram post.

David Campbell shared a gorgeous snap of his 16-month-old daughter Betty on Instagram yesterday.

The cheeky toddler, who has an equally adorable twin brother named Billy, is clearly pleased with her lunch, grinning from ear to ear with tomato ketchup all over her mouth.

Poking fun at his daughter’s saucy face, Campbell captioned the image, “This is a photo of a cheeky Betty who thinks you need to eat tomato sauce off your plate face first. #Betty #ketchup #cute #heinz.”

But for once, it wasn’t a celebrity’s toddler’s food habits that had the public concerned. The thing fans noticed was Betty’s eyes.

The flash from the camera gave Betty a case of red-eye in her right eye, but the pupil in her left eye is reflecting a white light.
This trick of light was a red flag to some fans.

“She is super cute,” wrote one follower. “Not to worry you @davidcampbell73@lisaluckiest I remember seeing a story about when the flash is used taking a photo and one eye comes up white it can be a sign of eye cancer…..not sure where I saw it but thought I’d let you know just in case.”

“I noted the eye colours too. Best to get it check out @davidcampbell73 not necessarily cancer, but could be a sign of eye problems or tumors,” noted another.

A third follower commented that photographs of her son, who has a lazy eye, sometimes feature the white pupil. “A good ophthalmologist can check it out quickly,” they suggested.

Mum Lisa Campbell was grateful for the followers’ concern, and for bringing the potential association between white eyes and eye conditions to their attention.

But she hosed down concerns, saying she had investigated the link between eye flash photos and problems with the eye and felt confident it was a trick of lighting rather than a medical problem.

“Thank you,” she said. “From the guidelines, as she is not front on, it’s more unlikely there is a problem, but we’ll investigate further to be safe… we really appreciate your concern – it wasn’t something we were even aware of xx.”
