Copenhagen Zoo kills more of its animals

The zoo that controversially killed 2-year-old male giraffe, Marius (right), has now made headlines again for euthanising two lions and two lion cubs. Copenhagen Zoo have defended their decision to kill the lions, claiming that the male lion posed a risk to the young lions: ‘Because of the pride of lions’ natural structure and behaviour, the zoo has had to euthanize the two old lions and two young lions who were not old enough to fend for themselves.” The zoo went on to tell Gawker that they couldn’t find anywhere for the lions to go before the dominant male moved in. The news comes after Marias the giraffe was cut up and fed to other animals at the zoo in front of the public last month.

Malaysia Airlines boss, Mohammed Nor Mohammed Yusof, has today said that it was a "rational deduction."
