When in Rome…wear two different things to the same dinner? While acting as a quick-change artist during a romantic dinner may not be your idea of a good time, we can't say the same for Kim Kardashian.
Making the most of her romantic trip to Italy with boyfriend Kanye West, the fashionista, who celebrated her 32nd birthday on Oct. 21st, changed outfits literally in the middle of dinner. The couple was spotted sharing a quiet meal at Rome's Il Bolognese restaurant when Kardashian went in wearing one black dress with thigh-high black boots and came out wearing a green Lanvin frock and different black stilettos.
"The thing that struck me the most was that [Kim] came in dressed in one way and left the restaurant dressed in another," the restaurant's owner tells People. "Mid-dinner [Kim and Kayne's] driver came into the restaurant with a huge carrier bag and dress carrier."
Maybe it was just because Kardashian was so in love with the second look that she couldn't wait for a new day to wear it. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star later blogged about the outfit and gushed about the second style she wore.
"I got whisked away to Rome for a birthday week surprise!" Kardashian wrote on her blog, with no mention of the other look. "I’m wearing a green Lanvin dress and Tom Ford heels and accessories. I love this dress! I’m really loving this deep emerald green colour at the moment."
But no matter how in love with the colour she was, it didn't stop Kardashian from wearing a totally different style later in her trip. She appeared in a svelte white sleeveless turtleneck and Jitrois leather pants over the weekend, and attributed the look to West.
"I LOVE LOVE this outfit!!!" she updated later. "Why do I always dress cooler when my bf is in town! LOL"
Maybe the deep green dress was a gift from Kanye? Maybe she was uncomfortable? Maybe her zipper broke? Maybe we will never understand what on earth would prompt someone to change in the middle of a meal?
