Tragic: Baby dies after being left in hot car in Kyneton.

A one-year-old boy has died after being left alone in a hot car this afternoon.

The Herald Sun reports emergency services were called to a residence in Kyneton, northeast of Melbourne, at around 3pm today.

The temperature at the time was 31.6 degrees.

The little boy was found unconscious in a vehicle and was not able to be revived.

Ambulance Victoria has handed the matter over to the police, who have not commented at this stage.

Since the beginning of the year paramedics have dealt with more than 200 other cases of children being left in vehicles and authorities have expressed frustration that parents are still failing to heed warnings.
