How is their skin so... glowy? 5 Bachelor contestants share their beauty routines.

If you watched The Bachelor (bah, of course you did), there were probably a number of thoughts going through your mind during each episode.

Why was Osher’s hair flatter this season?

Why did Network 10 play with our emotions with that finale plot twist??!!

Do I find Matt Agnew…. attractive? Side note – we translated the classic bachelor cocktail party lines in the video below, post continues after video.

There were lots of things to consider, but one of the questions on my mind through the entire season was the contestants’ beauty routines.

Basically, I needed what Abbie uses to make her skin so glow and Elly’s exact skincare routine, so, I asked them.

Below, five Bachelor contestants share exactly what they put on their faces. Skincare, makeup, hair care and everything in between.

Abbie Chatfield.

Age: 24.

Occupation: Property analyst.

Skin Type: Combination/dry.

Biggest beauty concern: Hormonal breakouts.

Abbie’s AM skincare routine.

In the mornings, I wash my face with either a La Roche Posay cleanser or Cetaphil in the shower, then tone with Witch Hazel. I then pat dry my face with a clean towel and apply my serums in the following order: HA Glow Serum, alternating with Drunk Elephant Vitamin C Serum, Hylamide Low Molecular HA Serum and The Ordinary Buffet. I finish with moisturiser and sunscreen. I have only recently been using the HA Glow serum and I love it. It gives me a natural, glowy look that allows me to wear less makeup!

La Roche Posay Micellar Water Foaming Cleanser, $27.95.

Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser, $17.20.

T.N.Dickinson's Witch Hazel Toner, $6.59.

Hylamide Glow Radiance Booster, $28.

Drunk Elephant C-Firma™ Day Serum, $122.

Hylamide Low-Molecular HA Booster, $24.

The Ordinary Buffet Serum, $24.90.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Riche Soothing Protective Cream, $29.95.

Skinstitut Age Defence SPF50+, $49.

Abbie's PM skincare routine.

In the evening, I first cleanse my face with The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser to remove makeup. (You can read Mamamia's The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser review here.) I rub it between my hands until it turns into an oil and then work it into my face and rinse. I continue by washing my face as normal with my La Roche Posay Micellar Water Foaming Cleanser, or I'll use the La Roche Posay Effaclar Gel Foaming Cleanser if I have a breakout. Once a week, I use the Rare Earth Deep Pore Daily Cleanser by Kiehl's. I then pat dry my face and apply the Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel.

Then, I apply Drunk Elephant Glycolic Serum, Hylamide Low Molecular HA Serum, The Ordinary Buffet, and The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% on any spots I may have. Next is the La Roche Posay Toleriane Riche Moisturiser or The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors + HA, sometimes both if my skin is feeling extra dry in winter. I then apply eye cream. Every few days, I will put on the Nivea Urban Detox Mask. It’s so cheap and really works well. I've found it makes a huge difference to my skin and helps prevent hormonal breakouts. I also use it whenever I fly, I arrive with soft skin and don’t breakout! Finally, if I have some spots that are coming to a head, I put a Mecca Spot Dot on overnight. These are awesome and draw out any fluid so by morning the pimple has shrunk significantly.

The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser, $13.90.

La Roche Posay Micellar Water Foaming Cleanser, $27.95.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Foaming Gel, $36.95.

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel, $135.

Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Daily Cleanser, $35.

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Night Serum, $138.

Hylamide Low-Molecular HA Booster, $24.

The Ordinary Buffet Serum, $24.90.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, $9.90.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Riche Soothing Protective Cream, $29.95.

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA, $9.80.

Drunk Elephant C-Tango™ Multivitamin Eye Cream, $98.

Nivea Daily Essentials 1 Minute Urban Detox Purify Mask, $9.99.

MECCA MAX Spot Dots Blemish Busting Patches, $8.

Abbie's everyday beauty routine.

I apply my Revlon Photoready™ Perfecting Primer with my fingers and then The Ordinary Full Coverage Foundation with a Glam By Manicare GP2 Buffing Foundation Brush. I then use my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer under my eyes and on spots and blend with a damp Beauty Blender. I apply Maybelline Dream Bouncy Bronzer (discontinued) with a dense blush brush to just below my cheek bones and around my hairline to make my face glow before taking a fluffy eyeshadow blush and to use it as a bronzy eyeshadow.

I then mix a drop of Orgasm and Luster liquid blush by Nars on the back of my hand with the Mecca Cosmetica Complexion Brush and dab it onto my cheeks. I use the Kevyn Aucoin mascara (I can't use anything else since finding this one) and finish with my Nars Lip Gloss in Orgasm and a spritz of Urban Decay setting spray.

Revlon Photoready™ Perfecting Primer, $29.95.

The Ordinary Coverage Foundation, $12.90.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, $15.95.

NARS Liquid Blush in Luster, $46.

NARS Liquid Blush in Orgasm, $46.

Mecca Cosmetica Complexion Brush, $40.

Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara, $43.

NARS Lip Gloss in Orgasm, $37.

Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray, $50.

Elly Miles.

Age: 25.

Occupation: Registered Nurse.

Skin Type: Normal/dry.

Biggest beauty concern: Will I find time to pluck my eyebrows this fortnight?!!

Elly's AM skincare routine.

My morning routine is pretty simple. Typically, I'll wake up and give my face a gentle wash with a warm, damp Face Halo. Somedays, I use the Clinique Pep-Start cleanser and exfoliator if I'm feeling dry. Then, I apply my Ole Henriksen brightening moisturiser and the banana eye cream. These are great for hiding a bad night's sleep.

Face Halo 3-pack, $30.

Clinique Pep-Start™ 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser, $30.

Ole Henriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Crème, $59.

Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Crème, $55.

Elly's PM skincare routine.

Again, night time skincare is pretty basic. I wash my makeup off with the Clinique cleanser. I also use an exfoliating glove on my face once or twice a week. I switch to a Korres moisturiser at night, but stick with the same eye cream. The one thing I always do before bed is moisturise my entire body with any hydrating moisturiser!

Clinique Pep-Start™ 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser, $30.

Exfoliating Gloves, from $2.

Korres Black Pine Firming, Lifting & Antiwrinkle Night Cream, $92.

Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Crème, $55.

Elly's everyday beauty routine.

My approach with makeup is very skin focused! I love to look healthy, bronzed and glowy. I'd best describe my go-to full face of makeup as natural glam. I love L’Oréal True Match Foundation and the Australis fresh and flawless face powder, they're such great, affordable products. I use Too Faced and Hourglass bronzer and highlighting products, and will normally do a lip balm over lipstick. If I'm playing up my eyes, I like Makeup Geek, Natasha Denona, Ciate London eyeshadows. And the Urban Decay setting spray keeps everything in place. My top tip would be to have good, clean brushes!

Onto hair - after The Bachelor, I have began using the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner as well as the treatment. To get my blonde to the colour I like, I actually use a mixture of four different DeLorenzo shampoos - silver, copper, beige blonde and rosewood. If I’m feeling adventurous, sometimes I’ll use more of the copper or rosewood for a change. I also love to use the Unite 7Seconds Conditioner. I tend to switch between two fragrances, Giorgio Armani Sí and Cloud by Ariana Grande.

Benefit The POREfessional Face Primer, $23.

L’Oréal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation, $29.95.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, $46.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer, $46.

HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Bronzer, $80.

Milani Baked Powder Blush in Dolce Pink, $17.

Bourjois Paris Volume Clubbing Mascara, $11.95.

Nars Afterglow Lip Balm in Orgasm, $43.

Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and Conditioner, $49.95 each.

De Lorenzo Novafusion Colour Care Shampoo in Silver, $28.90.

Helena Sauzier.

Age: 25.

Occupation: Health Coach.

Skin Type: Dry.

Biggest beauty concern: Pigmentation.

Helena's AM skincare routine.

My approach to skincare in the morning is pretty haphazard. I'd love to say I follow a strict routine, but half the time I'm in a rush. I also don't really know what I'm doing and using! I use a mix of products from Rationale, The Ordinary and Ultraceuticals, but there's no real routine I follow consistently every day. I do love The Ordinary products. They're super affordable and I find the results to be very similar to other, more expensive brands.

Rationale Catalyst Cleanser, $96.

The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%, $9.80.

Ultraceuticals MD Ultimate Bio Repair Moisturiser, buy in clinic.

Ultraceuticals Ultra UV Protecting Daily Moisturiser SPF 30+, $79.

Helena's PM skincare routine.

My evening skin care routine is much like my morning one: all over the place! The two things I always do are: removing my makeup and moisturising. I also use an Ultraceuticals Vitamin A product to treat my pigmentation twice a week. Any more than that and my skin peels, I've learnt the hard way!

Rationale Catalyst Cleanser, $96.

Ultraceuticals Ultra A Skin Perfecting Serum, $140.

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, $12.90.

Ultraceuticals MD Ultimate Bio Repair Moisturiser, buy in clinic.

Helena's everyday beauty routine.

My everyday makeup routine takes me about 10 minutes and consists of a mineral powder, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick. If I'm going out, I'll use the Hourglass primer and Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, which is my expensive beauty buy. I also like Harlotte and NARS eyeshadows for an evening look. Iuse Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner at home to maintain my blonde colour. Perfume is the one thing I wear every single day! I change them up, but at the moment, it's Pleats Please by Issy Miyake.

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15, $115.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, $99.

Osmosis Pressed Mineral Powder, $80.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, $46.

NARS Blush in Orgasm, $46.

NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna, $60.

Maybelline Colossal Cat Eyes Volumizing Mascara, $19.95.

Harlotte Liquid Lipsticks, $26.

Laura Mercier Shine Control Pressed Setting Powder, $58.

Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and Conditioner, $49.95 each.

Pleats Please by Issy Miyake, 100ml for $66.

Sogand Mohtat.

Age: 31.

Occupation: Civil engineer.

Skin Type: Normal.

Biggest beauty concern: Pimples and wrinkles.

Sogand's skincare routine.

I honestly don’t do anything to my skin and my skincare is super basic. Thankfully, I don’t need heavy duty skincare as I have pretty good skin, which is mostly due to my diet and taking a collagen powder regularly. I do like to hydrate my skin with hydration masks and I exfoliate once a week, but I don’t like to cleanse excessively on a daily basis as I feel it only makes your skin more sensitive.

At night, I do cleanse with the Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser. It’s cheap and gets rid of your make up completely. I’ve been using this product for years and have never had an issue. And I always use sunscreen, Osaine is one of my favourite brands and I love the sunscreen and moisturiser.

Osaine Floragine 24 Moisturising Cream, $101.

Osaine Fluid Sunscreen SPF 50+, $48.

Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser, $11.99.

Sogand's everyday beauty routine.

My makeup routine is also pretty quick and easy. I always start with sunscreen and primer. The Hourglass primer is the best one I have ever used, and let me tell you, I’ve been through a lot of primers. I let them settle for a minute before applying foundation. I swear by the NARS foundation. When we were filming The Bachelor, I'd have it on all day and would constantly get asked what foundation I was wearing because it just doesn't move. It also works really well with the Hourglass primer.

For lips, Dior Lip Glow is my absolute favourite. I'm not too picky with my other makeup products, but I love, love, love Bondi Boost hair care. It leaves my hair feeling soft and clean, and it doesn't have any chemicals. I have been using it for a while now and I'm not planning on switching to any other brand. I'm also a signature perfume kind of girl. My favourite of all time is Chanel Mademoiselle, but since everyone's wearing that one now,  I've moved on to Lancôme La Vie Est Belle Eau de Perfume.

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15, $115.

NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint SPF30, $69.

YSL Couture Blush, $75.

YSL Mascara Vinyl Couture, $57.

Chanel Long-Lasting Eyeliner, $47.

Zoeva Eyeshadow Palette, $47.

Dior Lip Glow, $52.

Bondi Boost Hair Growth Shampoo and Conditioner, $54.99.

Chanel Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum, $240.

Lancome La Vie Est Belle Eau de Parfum, $147.

Emma Roche.

Age: 33.

Occupation: Fashion brand manager.

Skin Type: Combination, dry and oily.

Biggest beauty concern: Spot breakouts.

Emma's AM skincare routine.

Every morning after I shower, I use the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. This exfoliator brightens your skin while minimising pores, and it's gentle enough to use every day. I then cleanse with Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel. You only need to use a small amount of this foam cleanser to wash away toxins while making your skin feel smooth and clean. Next is the Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream. I love this moisturiser because you only need to use a small amount to get your skin feeling hydrated and soft. I also use BYBI Mega Mist. This facial spray is vegan and cruelty-free. It perks my skin up and smells divine.

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, $58.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, $58.50.

Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream, $65.

BYBI Mega Mist, $42.

Emma's PM skincare routine.

When I get home from work, I immediately take my makeup off with the Dermalogica Precleanse. I like to let my skin breath when I'm not in the office. Precleanse is so gentle on my skin and removes all remnants of my makeup. I rinse this off and then reach for my Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel to wash away any impurities from my skin. I follow this up with moisturising with Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream and the Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm for around the eyes.

Dermalogica Precleanse, $65.50.

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, $58.

Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream, $65.

Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm, $92.

Emma's everyday beauty routine.

I tend to not wear much makeup. I prefer a natural look during the daytime and stick to neutral colours with a nice bronze eye and a light pink or nude lipstick. When I go out, I like a darker eye, with some smokey eyeliner. I'm also a sucker for blush!

For haircare, I avoid using sulphates on my hair so I always use OGX shampoos and conditioners. It's affordable and I know I'm not damaging my hair. I also use Toni and Guy Heat Protection Mist before blow drying my hair. I love Aveda Light Elements Defining Whip when styling my hair before a night out, and I use Batiste Dry Shampoo for a pick me when I don't feel like washing it. I love Frank Body exfoliating scrubs and my favourite fragrance is Chanel Allure. It smells like heaven.

Lancome Prep and Matte Primer, $57.

Bobbi Brown Extra SPF 25 Tinted Moisturizing Balm, $94.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation, $60.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiance Perfecting Pen, $70.

Harlotte Bronzer, $40.

Lancome Blush Subtil, $60.

Bobbi Brown Brightening Brick, $78.

Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Eyes Mascara, $55.

Lancome Artliner 24H Bold Color Liquid Eyeliner, $58.

Mecca Cosmetica All Set Makeup Perfecting Mist, $35.

OGX Luxurious Moroccan Argan Crème Shampoo and Conditioner, $19.99 each.

TONI & GUY Hair Heat Protection Mist, $15.99.

Aveda Light Elements Defining Whip, $50.

Batiste Dry Shampoo, $9.99.

Frank Body Original Coffee Scrub, 100g for $9.95.

Chanel Allure Eau de Parfum, $165.
