A Kyle and Jackie O producer, Jacob Elordi and a stunt that went horribly wrong.

NSW Police are investigating an incident between Jacob Elordi and radio producer Joshua Fox, after a misjudged Saltburn reference and a prank went awry.

The alleged incident took place at Sydney's Clovelly Hotel on February 3, after Elordi was approached by Fox, who works on KIIS FM's The Kyle and Jackie O Show

"Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs," NSW Police said in a statement.

"Police were told about 3.30pm on Saturday, 3 February, 2024, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man. The man did not sustain any injuries."

On Monday, Kyle and Jackie O played the audio Fox recorded, which shows Fox telling Elordi that Jackie O would like his bathwater as a birthday gift — referencing a much-discussed scene from film Saltburn.

"He kind of gets up in my face," Fox recalled on-air. "I could've kissed him he was that close.

"So I'm backed against this wall, he's right in my face and his two boys are now on either side of me... I'm feeling quite intimidated."

Fox said he apologised to Elordi, who "flipped" when Fox also said he would not delete the footage he had taken.

"The way they're surrounding me, I'm thinking something's going to happen here. Someone's going to jump me or something. So I say, 'No, I'm not deleting that,'" Fox stated. "I refuse to because I feel uncomfortable right now, and this is the only evidence. And then Jacob kind of just flips, and he kind of pushes me against the wall, and his hands are on my throat."

Fox said it ended when one of Elordi's friends pulled him away.

The radio show also aired what Fox had captured of his interaction.

"Excuse me, Jacob, I just want to say, 'Hey. I’m from the Kyle and Jackie O show,'" he said in audio captured.

"Ah, well done man, that's cool," responded Elordi.

"Really random, but I want to give you this," Fox said. "Jackie wants a birthday present."

He handed Elordi a container, labelled 'Jacob Elordi's bath water'.

"What am I supposed to do with this, put bath water in this?" asked Elordi.

"If you want to, you can send it to the studio," Fox replied.

"You're kidding me, right?" Elordi said.

"Nah, seriously. For Jackie O," Fox responded.

"Are you filming?" Elordi then asked.

When Fox confirmed he was, Elordi asked "Can you not, man, please?", at which point the audio ended.

According to reports, soon after the alleged confrontation, Fox went to Waverley Police Station and made a report, but refused to give a formal statement.

So the guy is sitting with friends, minding his own business and some douche bag from a radio station approaches and antagonises him. Yeah the guy deserved it.

@my thoughts are... Yes, but there are ways to handle that and then there are other ways. If Elordi is to have a public life, which he does, he's going to have to find a much better way to handle interactions like that.

@my thoughts are... yep, team Jacob all the way on this one. Provoked by the 'producer', all done to stir up drama.

@gu3st Agree. I despise all the radio show type stuff that puts people (celebs and non celebs) in uncomfortable situations, so can understand Elordi's frustration, but it doesn't condone what Elordi allegedly did. Would I press charges? Probably not. Just being out in the news I think is enough to hopefully teach him a lesson on how to handle such situations.
