Gogglebox's Yvie has shared the horrific experience that turned her off dating for years.

Former Gogglebox star Yvie Jones shared details of her negative dating experiences on Thursday night’s episode of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!… and… what the actual hell.

Yvie told celebrity reporter and fellow camper Richard Reid two separate horror stories with men which put her off dating entirely.

The reality star said she met a man over the phone at her previous job as a phone switchboard operator.

They “spoke intensely” for about a week, but things went downhill once they met in person.

“He wasn’t at all what I thought he was going to look like even thought we had completely described ourselves to each other,” she told Richard.

“We went out to the pub and he said, ‘I’m just so disappointed’. And you know what, I’ve been single since.”

She also shared another bad experience: “I had a guy just say to me on a date ‘maybe you should just go for a run’ out of no where.”

“I don’t have time for any of it,” she continued.

“A lot of straight white men think they can say that shit to a fat girl. They just think they can get you to make a different choice.

“Choose not to be fat anymore, because that’s all it’s about, it’s just a choice,” she said sarcastically.

Referring to the man from the phone, Yvie said she didn’t know what he thought he was getting but “I thought I was getting Keanu Reeves”.

When Richard asked what she actually got, Yvie joked: “I got more of Luke Perry now”.

On I’m A Celebrity earlier this week, Yvie and former The Biggest Loser host Ajay Rochester discussed their surprise at how two “larger women” were allowed to appear on the show together.

“When you came in (to the show), I was like ‘oh wow, this has never happened before’. Because it’s always the one fat girl and everyone else is gorgeous. Tell me when it’s ever been two girls?” Ajay said to Yvie.

Welcome to the world now. I had one guy message me privately on Instagram after he agreed with me in a post on a football page there. He asked me out, I told him that I wasn’t looking for that but I’d be happy to be friends. He seemed ok with this but kept trying to take me on a date every so often. He supported my page, liking my posts even though they’re all makeup related and not something he was into. He would say he liked chatting to me and getting to know me and I was lovely. This all abruptly stopped after I posted a full length photo of myself in a cute dress and he realised how “fat” I was. He disappeared and blocked me without saying anything. Just blocked. And I know this from an app I have and checking his page is there still via a friends phone. I was apparently, like Yvie, great to chat to and a wonderful person to be friends with until he saw my body. I was reduced to fat. Now he was no oil painting, he wasn’t the smallest himself and I know I don’t need that crap in my life but it still hurt- it does make you feel shit about yourself, it does shatter any confidence you have. This is the world now- not just dating but even friendships. I feel for Yvie and know first hand how it feels.

Those rude men are definitely the ones missing out. I loved her and Angie on Gogglebox, she was so funny and smart.
