The royal wedding is just hours away, and already there’s been a few hiccups.
Kensington Palace has released the Order of Service – the booklet that explains how it’s all going to go down tonight – and people have noticed a huge, glaring mistake.
Meghan Markle‘s dad, Thomas Markle, is still listed as the person who will be walking her down the aisle.
“The Bride, having been greeted by the Dean of Windsor, moves in procession through the Nave where she is joined by her Father, Mr Thomas Markle, to the High Altar. The Bridegroom and his Best Man await,” reads the booklet.
Although Thomas was supposed to be walking his 36-year-old daughter down the aisle, he’s had an eventful couple of weeks, during which he was busted staging paparazzi photos, and was then apparently admitted to hospital for heart surgery.
Given all the drama surrounding him, it’s understandable Thomas has decided/was strongly encouraged to sit this one out.
And then last night, it was announced Prince Charles, 69, would step in and walk his new daughter-in-law down the aisle.
The palace says they are aware of the mistake in the program, but there wasn’t much they could do to fix it, given all of the last minute changes that have been happening.
“The Order of Service was produced before it became clear that Mr Thomas Markle would be unable to attend the wedding on medical advice,” they said in a statement to People.
“As a result, some aspects will be different to what has been printed. As previously announced, Ms Markle has asked The Prince of Wales to accompany her down the aisle of The Quire.”
There’s also a few mistakes in the timing of the arrivals, with the listed arrival times of Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland, and Prince Charles off by a few minutes.

It's not *that* embarrassing. At least it proves her dad was invited all along, despite the half-brother's claims.
And the Queen is now not granting Mr Markle a family coat of arms, probably doesn't bother him, but Meghan's sister has been bragging to all and sundry that they were. The Queen is granting Meghan her own instead.
