The Spill: Wednesday's best entertainment and gossip news.

1. It turns out those break-up texts between MAFS’ Martha and Michael were (unsurprisingly) entirely fake.

The very moment former MAFS couple Martha and Michael posted their break-up texts on Instagram, things seemed… a little suspicious.

And now it turns out those ‘leaked’ text messages were, in fact, fake and the pair are (unsurprisingly) still very much together.

Yep, as suspected the whole thing was actually an endorsement scheme.

In case you missed it, the 2019 MAFS contestants both uploaded a series of texts to Instagram that appeared to be a fight between them, suggesting that they had broken up.

“2020… didn’t think it could get any worse,” Martha captioned the post.

Last night, however, Martha shared another Instagram video, admitting the whole thing was actually a publicity stunt.

“Me and Michael have not broken up. We are actually really happy together. But we have broken up with our telco provider!” she said.

So there we have it, Martha and Michael still remain one of (the few) Married At First Sight success stories. Phew.

2. “It was a very heated argument.” Poppy on what happened with Luke at the MAFS reunion.

Married at First Sight contestant Poppy Jennings has spoken out about the MAFS reunion episode after viewers were confused by her polite attitude towards her on-screen groom, Luke Eglin.

She explained that after wanting to share the real reason she left the show with the other female contestants and being told she wasn't allowed to, she decided that the best thing she could do was to stay silent on-screen.

"After being told off at the girls' night for trying to tell them on camera why I really left [the show], I decided come reunion that I would shut my mouth and get along with Luke," Poppy explained.

"I knew if I didn't, nobody would know why and I'd be hated," she continued.

"The next day was the finale on the couch and I couldn't handle it anymore. I confronted him in the tent about a few things, mainly the fact he got away scot-free with everything.

"It was a very heated argument."

Before the reunion episode went to air, Poppy went public and shared some of the reasons she left the reality TV show so abruptly.

“He was fake on camera and a complete dickhead behind the scenes, it was infuriating,” Poppy alleged in a since-deleted Facebook post.

“I was matched with someone that cheated on his wife. Didn’t live in the same state and wasn’t dad of the year by any means.”

She continued by hinting that the truth would soon be revealed during a Q&A with her followers on Instagram.

“I have seen lawyers so I can say everything that I want to say without fear of defamation,” she told her over 30,000 followers. “I am working towards being able to tell the truth because it doesn’t sit well with me to shut my mouth over something that is so serious.”

"I have had messages from his ex-wife, his ex-girlfriend, and someone he works with, all saying 'he's a dick'. He gaslighted me completely."

Due to legal reasons, Poppy is still unable to share the full details of what exactly occurred that led to her feeling so "uncomfortable" that she decided to leave the show.

3. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are setting up a new charitable organisation called Archewell.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially stepped down as royals. And since doing so, they have announced their new charitable organisation called Archewell.

While people immediately assume the charity is named after their son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, they would be mistaken. It is actually based on the Greek word "Arche," meaning "source of action," the Duke and Duchess shared.

In a statement released to CNN, the couple said, "Like you, our focus is on supporting efforts to tackle the global COVID-19 pandemic. But faced with this information coming to light, we felt compelled to share the story of how this came to be.

"Before Sussex Royal, came the idea of 'Arche' – the Greek word meaning 'source of action.'

"We connected to this concept for the charitable organisation we hoped to build one day, and it became the inspiration for our son's name.

"To do something of meaning, to do something that matters. Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we each must draw upon. We look forward to launching Archewell when the time is right."

As the pair had to say goodbye to the Sussex Royal branding when they stepped down from their royal duties, they are currently in the process of finding the best way for this charity to run alongside a website.

4. "I feel like I've hit the jackpot." MAFS' Cathy opens up about her new boyfriend.

After her marriage to Josh Pihlak ended in sadness, Married at First Sight's Cathy Evans has found love with a new mystery man.

Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, Cathy shared that her new boyfriend is a "private person", that she met post-MAFS filming.

"He hadn't known that I was on the show so it just sort of happened really organically after a couple of chats and meetups and it just kind of fell into place," the 26-year-old said.

Cathy went on to share that her current partner is her "dream man", who she has been enjoying her isolation with.

"I've been working from his house and it's been great being in isolation with someone who's pretty hot," she shared.

The pair bonded over watching MAFS together, though Cathy was sure to warn him of any possible drama.

"If I knew that something was going to come up that was perhaps going to be a bit uncomfortable to watch I would say, 'Maybe you should be in another room,'" she said.

We are SO happy to hear this news.

5. A threatening text and new feuds: The fallout from MAFS’ Michael and KC getting together.

SO. Married At First Sight has ended for another year, but does that mean the drama is over? Absolutely not.

Mere hours after the reunion special aired on Sunday night, the next bomb was dropped: contestants Michael Goonan and KC Osborne are now dating. Surprise, surprise.

Sharing their news with New Ideathe couple proclaimed their love for one another, explained they had actually been together for the past five weeks, and even announced they’d moved in together.

“It’s love. We have one hell of a journey ahead of us,” Michael explained. “Everything is on the table. We moved in together last week.”

However, it isn’t all sunshine and roses… because people are divided.

Some are happy for the pair, while others are… well, not. And because of this, the drama continues.

So to continue the neverending chaos that is Married at First Sight 2020, here is all the fallout from Michael and KC getting together.

One castmate is happy for the couple

Whilst some would assume Michael and KC’s on-screen partners would dislike their newfound relationship, it seems that KC’s (fake) groom Drew Brauer is actually happy for them.

“I wish them all the best, good on them! I really hope they are happy. KC actually asked me if I’d had a problem with them going out and having a drink. KC and I didn’t work and I wanted her to go for it. I want her to be happy and I still care about her.

“I think Michael and KC are a lot better match than what we were. I hope it works out for them. All the best to them,” shared Drew.
