A comprehensive list of the high-profile names who have tested positive to COVID-19.

At the time of writing, there are more than 336,000 cases of coronavirus worldwide, including more than 1,300 in Australia.

We’ve seen celebrities come together for a… questionable mashup of Believe led by Gal Gadot. We’ve seen numerous reports of celebrities sparking outrage for getting access to COVID-19 tests without any symptoms (Kris Jenner being the latest), and we’ve also seen a handful of high-profile people test positive to the highly contagious virus.

Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson – who are currently in Australia – were among the first. But 10 days on, there are a lot more names you’ll recognise that have tested positive for COVID-19.

All your COVID-19 questions, answered. Post continues below video.

Harvey Weinstein.

The convicted rapist is being isolated at Wende Correctional Facility in Western New York, after testing positive to COVID-19 according to a report by the Daily Mail.

Weinstein told prison staff he believed he had the virus after transferring to the state prison from Rikers Island, where a number of inmates have tested positive for the virus.

He tested positive and has been quarantined, the publication reported.

A jury on February 24 found former movie producer Weinstein guilty of sexually assaulting former production assistant Mimi Haleyi and raping former aspiring actor Jessica Mann.

At least 38 people have tested positive across New York's vast jail system, including correctional staff and at least 21 male inmates.

Debi Mazar.

"I have just tested positive for Covid-19. I AM OK!" wrote the Younger actress on Instagram over the weekend.

"About a month ago my entire home (husband and two teen daughters) got an odd bug - low-grade fever, headaches, sore throat, body aches, ears ringing and a dry cough. It cleared up quickly. Seasonal I thought? But it felt unusual/different...

"Two weeks later, March 15th, I woke up with all those same symptoms but super intense body aches, and 102.4 fever. I figured maybe I got the flu or..Corona?

"I had had cocktails the evening prior, and smoked a few cigarettes. I figured I had jacked my immune system from having a fun night with friends. I called a doctor/friend to ask if I could get the Covid-19 test. He said NO, I didn’t meet the criteria. I hadn’t recently traveled out of the country and I hadn't been with someone who had actually tested positive. I found this kind of a CRAZY criteria for a NY’er as I had taken the subway, gone to the theatre, the grocery store, the pharmacy, hair salon, etc.

"I was the Mom who was trying to prepare the home and get supplies and bleach wipes, dry goods, extra food etc.

"Because we have Italian family in Italy and we follow the news closely, my biggest panic was why were they not closing schools in NYC and forbidding movement outside the home without permission, like China and all of Europe?

"Prospect Park yesterday, I hear was jumpin’!

"A friend told me that CityMD/Urgent Care in my neighbourhood had test kits, which appealed to me as I wanted to stay away from the hospital.

"I went on 3/17. First I was tested for the flu-which was negative. Then they tested me for Covid-19. I was sent home and told to quarantine myself until I had results, which would take 3-7 days (in S.Korea it takes two hours).

"Well..today is day five and I just found out. Im hoping I’ve been through the worst of it already. Its very “morphy”. One day I feel crappy and the next I’m normal.Today my lungs are heavy, but I’m tough.

"I can breathe, and I’m going to heal here, in my own home. My family is under quarantine for 14 days. They have no symptoms. I think we all had it possibly already? Who knows.

"Anyhow, stay home people. Protect yourselves and your loved ones. Build up your immune systems. Good Luck and God Bless us all."

Andy Cohen.

The Watch What Happens Live host tested positive late last week.

The 51-year-old wrote on Instagram: "After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus.

"As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better.

"I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves."

Daniel Dae Kim.

On March 19, actor Daniel Dae Kim announced his positive test for coronavirus.

“Today, even though I’m not 100 percent, I’m pretty close,” he said, from his home in Hawaii.

Before his diagnosis, Kim was in New York on the set of NBC’s series New Amsterdam, the production of which has now been postponed.

Kim explains in the video that during filming he was asymptomatic, but on the flight home to Hawaii he noticed his throat was feeling itchy.

"It was unlike how I usually get sick. When I got home I called my family doctor and he told me to monitor my symptoms. To be safe, when I got home, I quarantined myself in a room in my house," he said.

At a drive through testing facility the next day, after an increase in Kim's symptoms, he tested positive.

Idris Elba and Sabrina Dhowre.

"This morning [March 18], I got some test results back for coronavirus and it came back positive and it sucks," said actor Idris Elba in a video posted to Twitter last week.

“I’m doing okay,” he added while seated alongside his wife Sabrina, who had not yet been tested but was feeling well.

He said he discovered he'd had contact with someone who also tested positive, got tested immediately and quarantined himself over the weekend.

"This is serious. Now’s the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands," he said, noting many people may currently have the virus but be unaware as they don't have any symptoms.

"We’ve told our families, they're very supportive. We’ve told our colleagues. Transparency is probably the best thing for this right now," he said.

"We live in a divided world right now. We can all feel it. It’s been bullshit. But now’s the time for solidarity, now’s the time for thinking about each other. There's so many people whose lives have been effected, from those who've lost people they love, to people who don't even have it but have lost their livelihoods."

"There are people at higher risk for who this virus might be a devastating diagnosis, so I urge all of you to be extremely careful; wash your hands, keep 1.5 meters distance from others, go in quarantine; just do everything you can to stop the virus from spreading.

"Together we can fight this virus and avert a crisis at our hospitals. Please take care of each other, keep your distance, and stay healthy! Please visit your country's Center for Disease Control's website, and follow the regulations for staying safe and protecting not just yourselves, but our entire community, and especially those at risk like the elderly and people with pre-existing conditions."

Heidi Klum.

Supermodel and current America's Got Talent judge, Heidi Klum suspected she has the novel coronavirus, but it took a couple of days for her to get her hands on a test.

Uploading various videos to her Instagram story last week, she shared that she has been experiencing chills, a cough and a runny nose.

Although Klum hoped her symptoms are just a cold, she wanted to get tested for COVID-19.

“I would love to do the corona test but there just isn’t one here,” she explained. “I’ve tried with two different doctors and I just can’t get one."

Klum said she and her husband musician Tom Kaulitz, who had just returned from tour a few days earlier, were practising self-isolation away from each other as they both awaited test results.

"These are strange times... but in these moments, you remember what’s really important - the people you love and keeping them safe. Social distancing is what we all need to do right now to be responsible citizens of the world. We are all in this together and it is up to us to protect our loved ones, and our neighbours and our communities.

"Please listen to the officials and stay at home if you can and physically distance yourself from other people… especially if you are not feeling well. I see all the beautiful things people are doing for each other all over the globe and that gives me hope!

"Sending all of you love and positivity and healing vibes… together we can get through this but we need to be proactive so that we can all have a bright and healthy future."

Tom's test has come back negative. No word yet from Heidi.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson.

Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, both 63, announced on March 12 that they have both been diagnosed with COVID-19.

The actor posted to Instagram, with the caption:

"Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.

"Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?

"We’ll keep the world posted and updated. Take care of yourselves!"

The couple arrived in Australia in late January, but Queensland Health believes the pair contracted the virus overseas.

In early February, the Hanks returned to the United States to attend the Oscars and were back in Australia by February 29, when Tom took a selfie with a fan.

Channel 9's Richard Wilkins.

The coronavirus pandemic hit Channel Nine after Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson both tested positive for COVID-19.

The Hollywood couple was staying on the Gold Coast while Hanks filmed the Elvis Presley biopic, and on March 9 visited Nine's Sydney studios for Wilson's appearance on Today Extra.

Today Extra hosts David Campbell and Belinda Russell, as well as A Current Affair host Tracy Grimshaw and other staff, including a makeup artist who worked with Wilson, went into self-quarantine.

They have since tested negative.

Entertainment editor Richard Wilkins announced he had tested positive.

He and co-host Allison Langdon checked in with Campbell and Russell, who were both at home in isolation as a precaution after their seven and a half minute interview with Wilson the Monday prior.

Peter Dutton.

The Minister for Home Affairs, Peter Dutton has been diagnosed with coronavirus.

The Liberal party member and QLD resident confirmed the news in an official statement shared on his Twitter account on March 14, saying he'd been placed in quarantine in hospital.

She questioned the action taken by the government and said she felt "anxious and hopeless".

"Schools need to be shut down but there needs to be structures in place that can ensure low-income families and vulnerable people aren’t being left in the dark. People need to work from home and if they aren’t able to the government needs to step in & financially help. Putting a temporary moratorium on things like rent, bills & mortgages could be a great start."

Olga Kurylenko.

Former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko put herself into self-isolation after testing positive for coronavirus.

The Ukrainian-born actress shared the news on Instagram on March 16.

"Locked up at home after having tested positive for coronavirus," she captioned a picture of the view from her window in Ukrainian.

"I’ve actually been ill for almost a week now. Fever and fatigue are my main symptoms. Take care of yourself and do take this seriously!"

The next day she shared another post thanking everyone for their kindness and to answer common questions.

Kurylenko said she was not in hospital as they are full and only taking patients in serious condition. She was told to call an ambulance if her condition worsens.

Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell.

Utah Jazz basketball players Rudy Gobert, 27, and Donovan Mitchell, 23, both tested positive for COVID-19.

Gobert had been feeling unwell for two days before a scheduled game against Oklahoma City Thunder.

Seconds before the team took the court, a head medical staffer raced to stop it.

Gobert’s diagnosis meant that not only would the game be suspended, but both teams would need to be quarantined.

Just 48 hours before Gobert’s diagnosis, he attended a press conference where the precautions being taken by the NBA were explicitly discussed.

A pre-match warm-up was conducted in a media room rather than on the court, and locker rooms had been stripped back.

As the press conference finished, Gobert stood up, leaned over, and made a point of touching every microphone and recorder in front of him. He then jogged out of the room.

Mitchell shared a statement to Instagram after his positive test result on March 12.

Officials have said both players are "doing well and are expected to make a full recovery". The rest of the team and party who travelled to Oklahoma are returning home, and there are no other positive tests in that group.

The entire NBA season has been suspended.

The league has told teams that have played Utah in the past 10 days to self-quarantine: This impacts the Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors.

Daniele Rugani.

Italian football star Daniele Rugani tested positive for COVID-19, though he is currently asymptomatic according to his team Juventus.

"You've read the news, so I want to reassure everyone who's worried about me, I'm fine," Rugani said in a statement on social media on March 11.

"I urge everyone to respect the rules, because this virus makes no distinction! Let's do it for ourselves, for our loved ones and for those around us."

His teammates have been quarantined.

Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rugani's teammate, one of the world's greatest players, Cristiano Ronaldo was put into quarantine in early March.

According to Juventus, Ronaldo is home in Portugal.

In a training report released on March 6, Juventus said, "Ronaldo has not trained and remains in Madeira [Portugal] pending developments related to the current health emergency."

Please can we not focus on the plight of celebrities? They are not what matters here. If you want to write about people affected by COVID, interview the healthcare workers. The ones who are scared of dying or passing on the virus to their families. Interview the workers who are watching people die of this virus and whose system is falling in around them. Or if you don't want to cover healthcare workers, interview people whose businesses will fail because of this crisis. Don't cover celebrities who are holed up in the lap of luxury. It's not about them and it's obscene to give them attention right now. Let's get our priorities right.
