People think the Bissell Spot Cleaner is the new Dyson. The before and after photos prove it.

If you’ve reached the age where stain-removing devices get you a little hot under the collar, then yay, welcome to the club.

Similar to the flurry of excitement caused by the words: Dyson Vacuum Cleaner, the new cool tool on the block is the Bissell Spot Cleaner.

Stay. With. Us.

According to the very knowledgeable members of the Mums Who Clean Facebook group, this compact little machine will remove a range of sins, from blue slime, lipstick, wine, and general ‘life muck’. Because while we’ve been told to not cry over spilt milk, red wine on a beige carpet is a whole other story.

The device uses jets of water to pummel and suck the stains out of carpets, couches, curtains, rugs, and any other upholstered surface you can accidentally fling a glass of Ribena at.

While it's not the cheapest cleaning gadget at $249, judging from the photos alone, the thing clearly works. It's also a whole lot cheaper than buying a new couch, or saying goodbye to your rental deposit.

To see if the machine lives up to the hype, Mamamia asked five Bissell devotees to share photographic evidence of the Spot Cleaner's efficacy. And let's just say, ahem, you can take our money right now.

Still not convinced? Here are some glowing reviews via social media, which have us itching to take the leap right now.

We rest our case.

Have you tried to Bissel Spot Cleaner? Does it live up to the hype? Tell us in a comment below.

This looks pretty impressive, has anyone here used it? If it's as good as it looks, I'd think about buying one next time we buy a new couch. I wonder if it would work on mattresses?

I've got one. I bought it because we had two toilet training toddlers and a geriatric cat who keeps weeing on everything! It really is that good for small spots. If you want to clean a couch (I have done) it does the job but it takes a long time to do properly. It is also very loud! For us its been worth the money. It doesn't take the place of a professional job but it keeps things fresher inbetween yearly cleans.

My husband is a chocoholic who tends to drop crumbs, which melt into fabric couches, something like this sounds like it might be just what I need!

I'm not convinced till I hear a catchy jingle - I have standards to uphold.

I’d agree with Fe. Great for small areas. The cleaner fluid is quit pricey though. I don’t regret buying mine.
