Zara Tindall, the Queen's granddaughter, has just welcomed her second child.

The Queen’s granddaughter Zara Tindall has given birth to a baby girl, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

Tindall, 37, gave birth on Tuesday at Strobe Maternity Unit in Gloucestershire with her husband and former rugby player Mike Tindall, 39, by her side.

The Palace says The Queen, Prince Philip and the couple’s parents have all been notified of the birth – but no name has been released as of yet.

“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike’s parents, Mr Philip and Mrs Linda Tindall, have been informed and are delighted with the news,” read an official statement.

“The baby’s name will be confirmed in due course.

“This baby is the second child for Zara and Mike, the fourth grandchild for The Princess Royal and the seventh great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.”

And at just a day old she’s already broken royal records as the heaviest royal baby in more than 100 years with a recorded weight of 9lbs 3oz (4.1 kg).

This was previously held by Savannah Phillips – Tindall’s niece and daughter of Peter Phillips, who weighed 8lbs 8oz (3.8 kg) at her birth in 2010.

The couple’s new daughter will be the younger sister of four-year-old Mia Grace Tindall and comes after the equestrian champion suffered a miscarriage in Christmas of 2016, weeks after they announced that they were expecting.

Tindall’s pregnancy was first announced in January this year.

Now to wait in anticipation for a name.
