After a false start just last month, Mariah Carey and James Packer are engaged!
E Online! were the first to report the news, stating that the businessman popped the question to his songstress partner just hours ago.

The pair first met in 2013 when both Mariah and James were still married. They crossed paths in Aspen, where James was staying with Brett Ratner, a mutual friend and rumoured former flame of Mariah’s.
James decided to invite Mariah over to “hang out”. (Ahem). Apparently the two had chemistry straight away and became friends. But Packer only started “aggressively” pursuing Mariah early in 2015.
So the couple have been dating for less than a year, but it’s been a whirlwind of gala performances and fancy holidays. “We were talking and laughing and people were getting mad at us and stuff like that. So, we hit it off,” Mariah told Steve Harvey in a recent interview.

They sparked engagement rumours at the end of last year, when Mariah was spotted sporting a MASSIVE ROCK on her left hand. The 45-year-old singer was in Melbourne for a special New Years Eve gala event at Crown Casino.
It was the couple’s first trip to Australia together. But It looks like Mimi might be spending a bit more time down-under.
