Ugh! First world people who have to find ways to spend all their money and then waste time organising said useless stuff.  Go volunteer or something.

I don't think most of these are "overly" organised at all! I'm not the most naturally organised person in the world, but I'm working on it because being organised and tidy just makes life so much easier. The whole 'a place for everything and everything in its place' makes it all work so much better. I love a nicely tidied cupboard or drawer, I find it oddly relaxing. I recently started a new laundry basket system which means I don't have to sort laundry, and it's so much quicker and easier. I would never have my books sorted by colour like that (although I do have a system), but I think it's a great way for kids books! I can imagine they're more likely to look for 'that green book', rather than by title.
