World's worst vending machine sells things no one wants.

What are the chances that anyone is going to buy this stuff?

Move over hot chip vending machines, there’s a new player in town.

It’s made of recycled timber and contains gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, sugar-free, paleo, and dairy-free options served in jars. That’s right, jars.

The produce is made fresh daily from sustainable produce, the menu changes seasonally, and leftover food goes to the homeless.

Yep, it’s a hipster vending machine.

Young entrepreneurs Dane Blackburn and Laura Anderson wanted to offer Melburnians healthy and convenient lunch options without all the overheads of a shopfront.

The Füd Revolution vending machine sells all things healthy, from freshly made salads to yoghurt and muesli.

“The idea spawned when me and my girlfriend decided that we wanted to do detox last year, and we became really frustrated with the lack of genuinely healthy options on the go,” Dane told Daily Mail Australia.

“In the end we decided to do something about it,” he said.

“We believe that everyone should have access to affordable healthy food and that’s why we’re doing it. So we just thought, ‘What about a vending machine?’”.

The first machine was just launched at Westfield Doncaster and five more will be open soon.

With fun names like ‘What’s Up Dukkah?’ And ‘Hola Ensalata’ and a price tag of $10 for a salad, no doubt hipsters everywhere will be jumping on their fixies to be first in line.

Let’s hope they have single origin drip coffee.

After seeing this in the food court at Doncaster the other day I was intrigued and decided to give it a try later in the week, however after reading this article I was even more determined to try it out and support two young entrepreneurs! We should be celebrating people with ideas instead of criticising them! The salad I choose "Super Soba" was delicious! Easily better than many a salad I have bought from food courts before and will definitely be going back to try the others. A great lunch option on-the-go and love that I am filling my body with nutritious food instead of the usual vending machine crap. Also worth noting there were at least 5 people waiting behind me to get their salads too and many an empty spot in the machine, I have no doubt if I had left it much later there would have been none left! Keep up the great work Dane and Laura! :-)
