New York hipsters open a kindergarten for adults.

Nap time. Little lunch. Macaroni necklaces and fingerpainting.  All child’s play, right?

NOT ANYMORE.

Because two hipsters in New York City have started a pre-school for adults.

And it’s a whole new way to waste your money.

Pre-school Mastermind is a one-month pre-school course that’s also a study into the art of emptying people’s wallets. For a fee of up to $1300AUD, students can enrol in a weekly class of show-and-tell, finger painting, and games such as musical chairs.

The Brooklyn-based program is aimed at  hipsters with too much money  adults who want to “re-learn the basics, and experience the ::magic:: of life as it was originally intended.”

Applications must be filled out by hand, with the school requesting potential students use markers, crayons, paint, and glitter

Creator Michelle Joni, says the post-school pre-school aims to ‘inject play, wonder, self-belief, and community into our grown-up lives.’

She told ABC that the program captures the innocence of childhood.

“I realized all the implications of what we learn in preschool. People come here and get in touch with their inner child. It’s magical.”

There’s even a class picture day.

Magical things. (via instagram @michellejoni)

We spent a long time debating the merits of preschool for adults and agreed to disagree on whether or not the idea is totally genius or total bananas.

But from what we can tell, there might be at least one upside…haven’t we all just had a little craving for Clag in our sensible adulthood?
