A new ultra colour-coordinated portrait of the Danish royal family has been unveiled.

A new official family portrait has been unveiled for one of our favourite royal couples, Crown Prince Frederick and Australian-born Crown Princess Mary of Denmark.

The portrait, which was released by the Danish royal family in commemoration of Prince Frederick’s 50th birthday, features the couple’s four children in colour-coordinated outfits – 12-year-old Prince Christian, 11-year-old Princess Isabella and seven-year-old twins Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent.

The gorgeous portrait of the family of six was taken inside the couple’s Copenhagen palace and shared on their official Instagram account, where they wrote, “It is a pleasure for the Crown Prince couple to share a new picture of the whole family on the occasion of the Royal Highness Crown Prince’s 50th birthday.”

The portrait of the heir to the throne and his family was taken by Danish royal photographer Franne Voight, who has photographed the family for many years.

Earlier this week, Princess Mary brought Prince Frederick to tears with an emotional speech at his official birthday dinner, in which she spoke about his talents as a father and his loyalty as a partner.

Speaking of her husband of 14 years, Princess Mary said, “I am so happy that you swept me off my feet and that we dared to fall for each not just for a moment but for life.”

Tasmanian-born Mary famously met Prince Frederick in Sydney during the 2000 Olympics. The couple announced their engagement in 2003 and married in 2004.
