Anthony LaPaglia has married Alexandra Henkel... who is 30 years his junior.

It’s often said age is just a number, and let’s hope that’s true for Anthony LaPaglia and his new wife, Alexandra Henkel.

The 59-year-old actor recently announced his marriage to Alexandra, who at 29, is 30 years younger than he is.

The couple was married in Maui in April, but they only made the announcement last month, with Alexandra sharing a series of stunning photos from their big day on Instagram.

“28.4.2018. The day I married the love of my life,” she captioned one of the photos.

It’s the second marriage for Anthony, who was married to Aussie actress Gia Carides from 1998 until 2016.

The former couple also has a 15-year-old daughter together, Bridget.

Anthony and Alexandra confirmed their engagement in April last year, when she proudly showed off her ring at the YSL Beauty Club Takes Over Melbourne event, as reported by Daily Mail.

In a 2016 interview with the Herald Sun, Anthony said he didn’t look at his marriage with Gia, 54, as having been a failure.

“People say ‘it’s failed’. My attitude is that it didn’t,” he told the Herald Sun.

“Twenty years is a long time for any relationship, and so many positive and great things came out of it – my daughter being one of them… It’s an emotionally tough thing to go through, but it happens and it’s about adjusting to the fact that people change, life changes.”

As reported by the Herald Sun, Anthony and Gia announced they were divorcing in March 2015 – a month after he’d been seen holding hands with Alexandra in Adelaide.

If a man marries a woman who is young enough to be his daughter, there would be snide remarks of cradle snatcher or "dirty old man". But let's not be sexist, she could be called a gold digger.
But apparently it is different in the stratosphere of actors and other celebrities.
As I've often said: the richer and more famous you are, the younger and more attractive you become.
