If you can't even keep a pot plant alive, this is for you...

Welcome to Mamamia’s art endeavour, the Voulez-Vous Project. It’s our corner of the internet where we celebrate emerging artists, designers, illustrators, creators and women who knit out of their vagina. (Kidding. Maybe.)

The aim: to make the internet a slightly more beautiful, or captivating, or thought-provoking place. To find out a little bit more about the Voulez-Vous project, click here.

This week Mamamia is featuring Amanda Dziedzic. Amanda is a Melbourne-based glass artist who creates colourful works that aim to make people smile. On her website, Amanda writes: “I just love it. It excites me, it motivates me, it influences my everyday life. I love how colour can alter a mood and I love how colour can create an atmosphere.”

She finds working in glass incredibly rewarding and says, “The endless possibilities of turning a molten substance into a solid is amazing. I also love the physical aspect of the work, I love that I am making it with my hands.”

Amanda’s work is often influenced by nature. She says, “There are no patterns more beautiful than the ones found in nature, they are exquisite and perfect in every way.”

If you’d like to see some more of Amanda Dziedzic’s work, you can visit her shop here, her website here and her blog here.

Do you know an artist (or are YOU an artist) who creates beautiful or thought-provoking work, and whom you think should be featured on Mamamia’s Voulez-Vous Project? Send an email to info@mamamia.com.au.

Stunning! I'm not sure how I'd go about displaying them anywhere but I love those root vegetables in particular.

Agreed! The root vegetables would be the hardest to put on display, but they're probably my favourites. :)
