This top released by Urban Outfitters makes literally no sense.

In fashion news this week, Urban Outfitters has finally released a top that’s perfect for those days when you really don’t want to wear a top. FINALLY.

For only $16 US dollars you can treat yourself to a flimsy bit of material that might keep the skin between your chest and your neck warm on mildly cold days.

Yep, you no longer need to be weighed down by heavy fabrics and practical designs that serve a function.

The 'Out From Under Extreme Crop Tank Top Shrug' (even they don't know what it is) has been described as an 'ultra-cropped wife beater' and 'a white tank top that's cropped so short, it doesn't cover anything besides the model's bra straps".

The description on UO's website called it “the ultra-sexy way to layer,” emphasising that it’s “cropped above chest for the coolest layered look featuring a crop neck and thin shoulder straps.”

The teeny tiny top-like garment was originally on offer from UO's 'exclusive brand' Out From Under, though it has since vanished from the website.

Are your nipples in fashun? on Mamamia Out Loud.

We imagine there's been quite a few emergency meetings at UO's head office this week, as they try to figure out whether their designers are literally just trolling them to see if they notice.

In other fashion news, we reckon if you just snip the crotch in your undies and pull them over your head, you can get the look of the 'Extreme Crop Tank Top Shrug' for free. Please send us pics.

You never know when you might need a set of armholes...

I would have thought since its for layering you would wear it under a tank top that's revealing, it would cover things up a bit more.
You can wear this instead of wearing another full shirt.

I thought the same, but then I realised the bottom is so high above her breasts it would have to be an already high top, as anything that dips to even her armpit height would expose the bottom of this weird 'top'. For the ultra conservative maybe?

That's true. Perhaps it's to go from 'modest' to 'nuns clothes are too revealing'

Maybe it's supposed to create a peekaboo sort of effect and the gap between the bottom of this top and the top of whatever you pair it with is supposed to be visible? It would possibly explain why they call it "ultrasexy" - because you're layering but are still showing off a hint of cleavage.

Yeah maybe! Not sure I would dig the look but I'm not very stylish so... \_(",)_/
