A message for the first female President of America.

You’re out there, somewhere. Watching.

You might be heart-sick today, like so many of us are.

You might be wondering exactly what it takes to be considered qualified for the world’s most high-profile job.

You might be weighing up whether the personal attacks and vitriol could ever make putting your head above the parapet of public life worth it.

Then again, you may be fist-pumping.

You might be thinking that if an ill-qualified man with a cupboard full of skeletons, criminal charges piling up against him and no regard for the "rules" of politics - or indeed, human decency - can win, then it's true what they say: Absolutely anyone can be President.

Even a woman.

Hear Mia Freedman, Rosie Waterland, Jessie Stephens and others debrief about the US election on a special Mamamia Out Loud bonus episode.

Don't think for a moment that yesterday's result will set you back.

It should not. It will not.

It will motivate and drive you to one day - literally or figuratively - stand on that stage below an ocean of glass.

Smart, strong, committed women who are capable of taking a hammer to the world's toughest ceiling will not be deterred.

You will organise. You will plan. You will work. And you will know that the trailblazers who have come before you, who took the body-blows reserved the First anything, have weakened that ceiling for you.

Women like Hillary Clinton. Women like Julia Gillard. Their courage has chipped away at that barrier.

It will be your triumph to be the one who breaks through.

To the first Female President of the United States. To the next female Prime Minister of Australia:

Don't stop.

Never stop.

Her vagina should play no part in her capacity to be POTUS. Hillary may have the "qualifications" for the position but her skeletons and her history of untruths made her on the nose to even hard line democrats.

Trump is an abomination but millions of Americans preferred him to her, what does that say about her?

You can look at another way. A plodding bureaucrat versus a billionaire entrepreneur, who would likely outsell the other?

But if you want to call it a gender contest, Trumps vote was very low, there was no wave of white sexist men coming out for him. Lower vote than Romney or Bush. However 10 million fewer voters went for Clinton than Obama in 2008. So the loss to sexism isn't about more Trump sexist supporters, its about 10 million Democrats who are too sexist to vote for a woman. Blame democrats for sexism if you believe this was a sexist election.

Hillary is a brilliant, kind woman who has been helping women and children for 30 years, she is a zillion times more experienced, qualified, rational and intelligent than sick,woman-hating,racist Donald Trump who actually bragged *on recorded tape* that he sexually assaulted women and said he could do anything he wanted because of his money and fame!

He is such a sicko that he also said on woman-hater Howard Stern's show years ago, that he would consider dating his own oldest daughter, and called her a piece of a**! He also barged in on 14 year old beauty pageant contestants when they were undressed and told them he could date them in a few years! And he has made many racist,sexist,woman-hating comments.

It says that the US is still a very sick woman-hating,gender stereotyped male dominated society! Hillary also won the popular vote by 2 million so far though thank goodness.
