Donald Trump shares what Hillary Clinton said to him in her election night phone call.

It was the middle of the night when Donald Trump made his victory speech for President of the United States of America.

Hillary Clinton was not to be seen on that night, with a representative from the party informing mourning followers she had congratulated Trump on his victory via a phone call.

In his speech, Trump appeared conciliatory and Clinton was absent on that devastating night. Ithas left many people thinking, “What did she say?”

Can you imagine making a phone call to someone who had threatened to lock you up in jail (and also just stolen your job even though they had zero experience)?

For most people, it wouldn’t exactly be friendly.

In his first interview as President-elect, Trump has described exactly what was said in that private phone conversation.

And, unlike most other people, Clinton was incredibly gracious, with Trump even calling her “lovely”.

“It was a tough call for her. I mean, I can imagine. Tougher for her than it would have been for me, and for it would have been very, very difficult,” he told CNN.

“She couldn’t have been nicer. She just said, ‘Congratulations, Donald. Well done,’ and I said, ‘I want to thank you very much. You were such a great competitor.’ She’s very strong and very smart.”

Not only that, but former President Bill Clinton also called Trump the next day.

“He actually called last night. He couldn’t have been more gracious. He said it was an amazing run, one of the most amazing he’s ever seen.”

We have always adored Clinton but the grace she reportedly handled that situation with is even more admirable.

As another one of our favourite women, Michelle Obama said, “When they go low, we go high.”

And, Clinton always went high.
