The materialist in me loves the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show. It’s something about the glittery catwalk and pretty colours that just hooks me in – not to mention the fashion, which is just ridiculous. Miranda Kerr received a standing ovation when she opened the show, wearing the famous $2.5 million diamond-studded fantasy bra (which is currently holding the number one spot on my Christmas wishlist. Cough.)

Excuse me for sounding snippy but the Folies Bergere was doing it LONG before VS and I used to do it 20+ years ago when I was a showgirl. And we used to DANCE wearing that sort of gear. These chicks just walk and look pretty and they get standing ovations? Meh.
I visited New York recently and went to one of the Victoria Secret stores and was so disappointed at how boring the bras were. They were pretty much just t-shirt bras (ie no lace, pretty patterns or frilly bits) in 100 different colours. I think VS must spend their entire "creative" budget on this stupid run way show. I suppose it's good marketing because it got me in the store but I didn't buy anything!!
