1. There’s something in Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell’s oven. And “it’s not pizza”.
Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell has announced her pregnancy with longtime partner, Matte Babel, and she has one very pertinent question.
“Does this mean I’m allowed to drive in the car pool lane at all times now?” she asked via an Instagram post, in which she appeared topless.
Sharing the tougher bits of her pregnancy, the 32-year-old also uploaded a two-minute-and-15-second Youtube video, in which she said she felt lonely concealing the news.
“Months of hiding, it’s been a really lonely journey,” she said.
“I think pregnancy is really awesome for the most part, but it’s really f**king lonely.”
On a lighter note, she also joked that “There is something in the oven and it’s not my pizza!!! WOW… It’s kind of surreal processing the fact that another human is growing inside of you.”
Her boyfriend of over two years, Entertainment Tonight Canada reporter, Matte Babel, also celebrated with a pregnancy announcement, sharing a photo of an expectant Mitchell with the following caption:
“Watching the both of you grow over the past six months has been the most beautiful thing in the world,” he wrote.
“The strength, vulnerability and grace you’ve had during this pregnancy has left me in awe, you’re going to be an incredible mom…We’re lucky to have you, love you.”
Given Babel’s Instagram post we can deduce Mitchell’s baby will arrive sometime in late September, in which she will definitely be able to drive in the carpool lane, to her heart’s content.

2. Melissa McCarthy is in talks to play everyone’s favourite Disney villain.
It looks like Melissa McCarthy might be going under da sea.
According to ET, the Emmy-winning actor is in "early talks" to play the role of Ursula in the upcoming live-action remake of Disney's The Little Mermaid.
You remember Ursula. She's the sea witch with the bold lip and perfect manicure who gives Ariel temporary legs in exchange for her voice (and a better shot at King Triton's throne). Voiced by Pat Carroll in the 1989 original, the role is considered one of the most iconic in the Disney canon.
No wonder then that poor, unfortunate soul (see what we did there?) Lizzo feeling a little miffed by the news. The American singer has been gunning for the gig for months, and last year even posted an audition tape to Twitter, complete with towering white wig and purple makeup.
