Serena Williams like you have never seen her before.

Serena Williams, top tennis player and all round incredible athlete, has appeared on the cover of New York Magazine to promote her new fashion label.

And the images are amazing.

The 33-year old, 21-time Grand Slam tournament winner has dominated the tennis scene since she first appeared on court as a professional player in 1999. Sports Illustrated has described her career as “one of the most sustained careers of excellence in the history of athletics.”

In many ways she just keeps getting better. But after 16 years on the court, Williams is thinking about her retirement.

Halfway through a pre-medical degree, the singles and doubles champion is now designing her own clothing range, the Serena Williams Signature Statement Spring 2015 collection.

After winning her most recent Wimbledon championship, Williams cemented her place in tennis history as the best female player of all time. But she's thinking about life afterward.

"I have lots of trophies, and I’m just — I’m not that person that needs to see all these trophies," she told New York Magazine writer Kerry Howley. “I have some in my house here, some in my house there, some I don’t know what happened to ’em. I have my Grand Slam trophies … somewhere.”

Williams' label is being made by US brand HSN, and is available to order online.
