weddings

Pete Evans' first official wedding photo is here. It's very... Pete Evans.

Ah, Pete Evans.

He never does anything in halves, does he? Whether it’s devising a recipe for paleo bone broth, scrutinising the flavour of a homemade mousse or getting married, he’s gonna do it the Pete Evans way, dammit.

In case you missed it, the world’s most blue-eyed chef got hitched to partner Nicola Robinson last weekend, and their very first wedding photo has just been released.

THIS is a wedding photo done paleo style. And it’s more Pete Evans than we could have ever imagined.

There’s bare feet. There’s a flower crown. There’s a crisp white shirt and cuffed beige chinos. There’s a majestic horse by the name of “Black Dragon”. There’s a “nutrition mermaid” seated upon aforementioned dragon/horse.

Basically, this is all of my wildest hopes and dreams wrapped up in one photo. Here it is:

According to the magazine, the Brisbane ceremony was of the “magical farmyard” variety and included “butterfly bridesmaids, four-legged guests and paleo cake.”

The 41-year-old chef met his 38-year-old New Zealand-born wife in Adelaide four years ago and he credits her with introducing him to the paleo way of life. On Nicola’s Instagram profile, she describes herself as a “Moon gazing farm girl from Aotearoa, gratefully wearing an Earth suit, loving, learning, growing & openly courting the muse.”

While we’re not 100 per cent sure what that means, one thing is certain: We cannot wait to see the full wedding album.

Never change, Pete and Nicola. Never change.

Pete Evans addressed concerns about his paleo cook book for babies on Sunday Night. Watch a clip of the interview below…

I thought they would have been wearing Cave Couture...in keeping with the paleo theme?

At the end, did he throw her over his shoulder and go straight to a makeshift cave?
