Netflix is releasing a new Tiger King episode this weekend and we have precisely 9 questions.

Warning: This post definitely contains spoilers for Netflix’s documentary series, Tiger King.

If you’ve watched Netflix’s latest documentary series, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness, you’ll know that it’s… absolutely wild.

The documentary, which was released a couple of weeks ago, dives into the world of big cat ownership in the United States.  It follows Joseph Maldonado-Passage, better known as ‘Joe Exotic’, who describes himself as a “gay, gun-toting cowboy with a mullet”.

Watch the trailer for Netflix’s Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness below. Post continues after video.

Along the way, the series involves murder-for-hire, polygamy, a cult-like leader, a mysterious disappearance, an ex-drug lord, countless big cats and exploitation of both animals and humans. And although it’s a little hard to believe, it’s entirely based on a true story.

And now, Netflix has announced that there will be a reunion special dropping this Easter weekend.

The episode will be an ‘after-show’ hosted by comedian Joel McHale, who will interview key characters from the show including John Finlay, John Reinke and Jeff Lowe.

If you’ve had enough self control to avoid watching Tiger King, I highly recommend you park yourself on the couch right now and watch it all before the special airs.

No doubt you’ll still have countless burning questions about the weird world of Joe Exotic. And hopefully this ep will answer… at least some of them.

Mamamia’s daily entertainment podcast, The Spill, discuss Netflix’s Tiger King. Post continues below.

Here’s just a few of mine:

Was Joe actually singing?

I need to read an entire investigation about Joe Exotic’s music career right now.

In particular, is that actually Joe Exotic singing those country songs?

And if not, I need to know who actually agreed to sing Joe’s bat sh*t crazy songs, while allowing Joe to continue to pretend that it’s his own singing voice. Please.

Who directed those music videos?

No, seriously.

Those music videos were bloody amazing.

The visual effects. The dramatic storm clouds. The inclusion of the animals. They’re visual masterpieces.

(I’m also ashamed to admit that after watching the series, I head over to YouTube to find even more of Joe’s music videos. Google them and watch them all right now. They are gold.)

Who thought of putting drugs inside of snakes?

There are many things I learned from watching Tiger King.

One of them is that people actually use snakes to smuggle drugs.

Yes, people cut open snakes, put drugs inside them, and stitch them back up again.

Oh and the weirdest part? The whole snakes-smuggling-drugs situation was only just mentioned in passing.

Was that three-way marriage legal?

OK. It’s been a few weeks and that triple wedding scene is still blowing my mind.

Why are they all wearing matching pink shirts? Is this wedding even legal? Is a camouflage trucker hat considered appropriate wedding attire in Oklahoma? Am I… tearing up?

WE NEED A BONUS EPISODE THAT'S ENTIRELY FOCUSED ON THE WEDDING NOW.

Why did this interview take place in a bathtub?

Why?

Just... why?

Why am I rooting for an ex-drug lord?

I honestly can't figure out who the worst person is in this series.

In fact, I've basically come to the conclusion that the drug-lord-turned-big-cat-owner who inspired Scarface is actually the only normal person in this whole bonkers story.

Did I enter this show thinking I'd be rooting for an actual drug lord? No.

Am I okay with it? Yes.

Did Joe seriously just put on an EMS jacket?

Okay. This was very confusing.

After an employee had their arm LITERALLY RIPPED OFF by a tiger, Joe Exotic decided it was the perfect time for an outfit change.

What did he change into? A god damn emergency services jacket.

Your worker is lying on the ground bleeding from a tiger bite. Now is not the time to flex your EMS jacket, Joe.

Oh, and let's not forget how Joe proceeded to stroll into the gift shop and offer a discount to his guests after announcing that an employee had literally lost their arm.

Ugh. I can't stop thinking about it.

Did Joe actually think he had a chance at becoming governor?

In addition to his bustling zoo, music career and YouTube channel, Joe Exotic ran for President of the United States in 2016, before running for Oklahoma governor in 2018.

But did Joe actually think he had a chance at becoming governor? Or was he just in the running for extra publicity?

Despite his intentions, Joe actually managed to win 19 per cent of the vote for the Libertarian Party primary. Which, honestly, is more than we would've expected.

To be fair, with a reality TV star as the current US president, is it really that surprising that Joe performed so well? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

DID CAROLE KILL HER HUSBAND?

No. This is the most important question of the entire series and IT'S KEEPING ME UP AT NIGHT.

Where did Carole's husband go? Do we really believe that he just disappeared without a trace? Did Carole kill her husband? Do... the tigers know?

I'd like an entire docuseries on Carole Baskin's husband, please.

All seven episodes of Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness are available to watch on Netflix now.

Id also like to know why those 2 straight guys went along with marrying him. That seemed odd too. What were they getting out of it if anything.

Same, not to mention the third husband as well. Drugs have to be a part of it surely. Plus Joe seemed to be fairly charismatic in his weird way.

Am I the only one who thinks that Joe is way more likable than Carole?
