The royal family just tweaked Meghan Markle's official bio and hoped we wouldn't notice.

When Meghan Markle officially became a royal after her wedding to Prince Harry, she was given her very own official bio on the royal family’s official website.

The page listed some of her achievements as a “proud feminist”, noting the 36-year-old’s passion for social justice began at age 11 before she went onto volunteer in a soup kitchen.

“Aged 11 she successfully campaigned for a company to alter their television advert that had used sexist language to sell washing-up liquid. Her Royal Highness also volunteered at a soup kitchen in Skid Row, Los Angeles from the age of 13-17. She continued to volunteer at the soup kitchen when she would return home to Los Angeles until the age of 22.”

There was just one curious thing missing from this bio: her career.

Her 15-year acting career was treated as more of a side-hustle, having been given only a very brief mention when drawing on her volunteer work while she was “filming in Toronto”. It was only when you clicked on a second sub-category page that her Suits work was acknowledged

Naturally, the people of the internet noticed the… oversight.

And now, Kensington Palace has quietly gone and added an entire section about Markle’s professional work to the main bio page.

“After university Her Royal Highness worked as an actress, appearing in film and television. She most notably played the role of Rachel Zane on the series Suits for seven seasons, completing over 100 episodes. Whilst working on Suits, The Duchess moved to Toronto, Canada where the show was filmed; she feels very connected to Canada, as it became a second home to her,” it reads.

Nice one, royals, we’re onto you.

I feel pretty confident in saying that nobody in the royal family actually works in the Palace's PR or IT department, nor even take a close interest in editing what goes up on the website. You're blaming "the royal family" for something a clerk did.

The bio page wasn't the only rework, the wedding was as well. Meghan was reborn as a virginal, blushing ingenue bride, suitable for a life as the wife of a royal prince.

That sounds a little spiteful. Meghan is not the first person to marry more than once, and she is not the first person to wear white to her second wedding. In fact, in wearing white on your wedding day was only for women who are virgins, there would not be many white brides out there! I know Meghan is a public person, but that does not mean ordinary people should stoop to making mean comments about her. Lots of people get married and that relationship does not work out. I wish all people who are prepared to give marriage a go all the best! I know we have freedom of speech, but really, not everything you think needs to be said or written. Remember, choose kindness!

Someone sounds bitter!!!!

Not bitter all, and as I have written on a previous post she looked beautiful. However, had she been following the tradition of other divorced persons marrying within or into the Royal Family, she would have not worn white, nor been married in a Church of England Chapel. There has been a lot of tweaking these days.

Freedom of speech is the right not to choose kindness if one should so desire.
