The Married at First Sight 2020 cast has just been announced and goodness, we are not ready.

Stop what you’re doing and mark February 3 into your diaries in big red block letters.

It’s the premiere date of this year’s season of Married at First Sight and we are not ready.

While we’ve still got another three weeks to wait, Channel 9 has released the full lineup of the 11 brides and nine grooms who have dared to join the social experiment.

However, there’s one notable exception. Where’s Elizabeth Sobinoff? According to rumours, the former MAFS contestant will be entering this season as an intruder where she will be matched with AFL player Seb Guilhaus.

We’ll just have to wait and see what happens but here’s who we do know will be walking down the aisle and putting their heart on the line for love. The soles of our feet are getting sweaty just thinking about it.

Watch the trailer for this season of Married at First Sight and get very excited. Post continues below.

Natasha, 26

From: Sydney, NSW

An accomplished financial analyst, Channel 9 has described her as “outspoken”. This is undeniably a spoiler that Natasha will cause some fights at the dinner parties and maybe even break a glass or two. Goodie.

Amanda, 34

From: Melbourne, VIC

While Amanda can be tough from the outset, she says she's a "softie" at heart. She works as a 'strength coach' (whatever that means) and she's looking for another woman who's ready for commitment.

Tash, 31

From: Adelaide, SA

We know that this season of MAFS will also feature same-sex couples, and we have a sneaking suspicion Tash will be paired with Amanda. The bartender says she's 'sexually fluid' and is an avid wellness fan, a yoga teacher and vegan. For Tash, verbal communication and affirmation will be key.

Cathy, 26

From: Sydney, NSW

After two relationships which have ended due to cheating, Cathy admits she's not one to let her boundaries down. However, she's open to the idea of finding 'the one'. We're nervous for her already.

The 2020 contestant is also a YouTuber with 3,400 subscribers but her most recent video, 'Another Terrible Date,' was from July 2019.

Vanessa, 31

From: Perth, WA

After a battle with severe acne as a teen, the pharmacy manager continues to struggle with insecurity and low-self esteem in relationships. Vanessa says she also has the tendency to reject men before they reject her. Oh dear.

One noteworthy thing though - the Perth-resident is actually the ex-girlfriend of former contestant Bronson Norrish, who married Ines Basic in the 2019 season.

Aleksandra, 26

From: Perth, WA

Another Perth girl, Aleksandra family wants to see her married, but definitely doesn't want to see her on MAFS.

This isn't her first reality TV show either, she's also been on Channel Seven's Take Me Out.

Stacey, 25

From: Perth, WA

A mum to two kids, Stacey is a 25-year-old law graduate who isn't shy about voicing her high expectations when it comes to romance. She has previously been in a broken engagement but that's not stopping her from finding love on reality TV.

Hayley, 32

From: Melbourne, VIC

Hayley has made peace with her past as a drug addict and now she's looking for a husband who will be able to do the same. She says she was able to overcome her addictions by shifting her focus to health and fitness.

Connie, 27

From: Melbourne, VIC

After five years of being single, Connie is sick of being alone. She's not the most confident person when it comes to dating and frequently asks herself 'what is wrong with me'. Oh experts, please be gentle with her.

Poppy, 38

From: Wollongong, NSW

A mum to twin toddler boys, Poppy's ex-husband left her for another woman when their kids were just six weeks old. Not only does she want to find her life partner, but she also needs someone who will be a father figure to her sons.

Mishel, 48

From: Brisbane, QLD

Out of eight past partners, the QLD teacher says she's been cheated on by seven of them. A mother of two adult daughters, aged 18 and 20, she wants someone who loves her, for her.

Steve, 51

From: Melbourne, VIC

After recovering from testicular cancer, Steve broke up his "much-younger" girlfriend who nursed him through his ill health (dubious). He now wants to find love with someone closer to his age.

Side note: Steve is seriously giving us 'John Aiken but older' vibes and this makes us feel... weird.

Ivan, 30

From: Sydney, NSW

We are 187 per cent sure that Ivan is going to bring the drama this season. His Channel 9 bio describes him as someone with "strong opinions," who "speaks his mind" and often offends "people the wrong way".

Ivan, we look forward to meeting you.

Chris, 37

From: Adelaide, SA

While Chris' parents have been married for 38 years, his love life has been significantly less idyllic. The youth worker is a father to two young sons who he shares with his ex-partner on a "part-time" basis. According to photos published by the Daily Mail, he gets matched with Vanessa this season.

Jonethen, 27

From: Gold Coast, QLD

A self-confessed ladies' man, while Jonethen attracts women with ease, he hasn't managed to keep a relationship for longer than a few months. Hopefully, this 'social experiment' (yes, the experts are still calling it that) will change things.

Luke, 39

From: Melbourne, VIC

After coming into fatherhood at just 21, Luke hasn't had much time for dating. In between being a single father to two teenage girls and his job as a FIFO worker, he doesn't have much spare time, period. He hasn't been very lucky in love either. Since drifting apart from his wife of 10 years, his ex-partner left him for her neighbour.

Michael, 28

From: Adelaide, SA

A millionaire single-dad, it seems like Michael is over his string of casual flings and looking to settle down. Channel 9 describes him as an 'alpha male' type and a "wisecracking joker with a great sense of humour"... but we'll see about that.

David, 31

From: Melbourne, VIC

A passionate boxer-turned-truck-driver, David's former boxing career resulted in serious spinal injuries, which required surgical attention. However, he's returned to the ring after intense rehabilitation, which he counts as one of his proudest achievements. Hopefully, his future partner will be as keen on boxing as he is?

Mikey, 29

From: Sydney, NSW

Described as a "former private schoolboy from Sydney's north shore" (read: rich), Mikey insists his privileged upbringing hasn't made him entitled or spoilt. The Operations Manager is currently running his family's nursing home which his grandfather founded.

Josh, 28

From: Sydney, NSW

To date, Josh says he's put "partying before partners," but we guess he now wants to change his ways. Billed as a loveable Aussie tradie, a recent encounter with heartbreak has caused him to reform his ways. Hopefully, it's not too late for him to let go of old habits.

They really need to stop claiming this is a "social experiment". It's no different to all the other reality shows that thrive on drama (real or faked) to succeed. They could have made it a genuine experiment, it still could have been interesting. Try that '36 questions to fall in love' test. Put together couples who actually live in the same area, rather than a guy from Perth and a woman from Sydney, just to cause fights about who moves where. Try and find them people you genuinely think they will click with, rather than ones completely opposite, just so they will fight.
