The Queen has kicked off her 4-month Diamond Jubilee tour – with another style queen by her side.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, joined the Queen at the beginning of the tour, which celebrates her 60 years of her reign and covers England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

She is a "nice" looking woman who wears "nice" clothes and I am sure she is a "nice" person. I like the fact that Prince William has married a woman he loves etc., all good. But she does not have the flare or spark of Princess Mary. I don't know what it is. There is no charisma or there is not the "it" factor that makes her jump out on magazine covers Diana Princess of Wales had it. I wish her well but she does spark my interest. Nice that the Queen and the rest of them have learned by past mistakes re: Diana, no matter how needy Diana was and no matter how immature she was, no denying they hung her out to dry. Happy Anniversary to the Queen though "nice" lady..
I hate to be a pedant, but I'm pretty sure Kate hasn't kept her maiden name, no matter how progressive she is ;)
I was thinking that too...the media always use her full maiden name maybe they think we won't know who they are taking about if they say Kate or Duchess Kate/Catherine....trivial I know but always bugs me when I see it.
I was also thinking the same thing.... but cant for the life of me think of what her married name is? Catherine Wales?
