Jackie Chan's daughter says she is homeless because of her homophobic parents.

Jackie Chan is one of the world’s most successful and prolific actors, with a reported net worth of $465 million, but he’s not using it to support his daughter – according to her recent claims.

Etta Ng Chok Lam, 19, has never had a relationship with father, but he was clearly implicated in her current predicament of being homeless for a month, which she announced on her YouTube page last week. In the video, Lam claims that she and her Canadian blogger girlfriend, Andi Autumn, have been forced to live under a bridge in Hong Kong.

“Hi, I’m Jackie Chan’s daughter and this is my girlfriend Andi,” Lam said in the video. “We’ve been homeless for a month due to homophobic parents. We pretty much slept under a bridge, and other things.”

“We’ve gone to the police, we’ve gone to the hospitals, the food banks, the LGBTQ community shelters and all of them just don’t give a shit,” she continued.

Autumn added, “We will have to be split up if we go to any kind of government facility.”

The couple said that they have exhausted all options with their friends and families.

“We don’t know what to do at this point. We just want to let people know what’s going on because at this point it seems ridiculous that no one can help. I don’t understand.”

Lam is completely estranged from Chan. She reportedly previously told The Express that she views Chan as “never [having] existed in my life. I will never regard him as a father.”

Lam is Chan’s daughter with former beauty queen Elaine Ng Yei-Li, with whom the actor had a relationship with while married to his current wife, Joan Lin.

Speaking to the website Coconuts, Elaine rejected her daughter’s claims, and said she needs to secure employment to become independent.

“I feel that if they have no money, they should go find work,” she said. “They shouldn’t film a clip telling others they are broke and who Etta’s father is. People all over the world work hard and don’t rely on someone else’s fame to get money.”

The relationship between Lam and her mother has reportedly been frequently tense, with Lam even dropping out of school and moving to North Point with Autumn shortly after coming out as lesbian.

Lam went public with her sexuality and introduced the world to Autumn in a series of passionate Instagram posts in 2017, and the couple have intimately documented their lives ever since.

Chan has yet to respond to his daughter’s YouTube video. Indeed, he has rarely spoken about her, but he did acknowledge her existence in 2004 at a publicity event for Around The World in 80 Days:

“I know I have failed my daughter, but since her mother is that kind of a person, I don’t know how to treat [my daughter],” he reportedly said on the red carpet.

At the time of printing, Lam’s YouTube video has been viewed more than 574, 000 times, and has made headline news around the world.

Why don’t they just get jobs like any other person would have to and find their own place to live.
