The Spill: Friday's best entertainment and gossip news.

1. WE UNDERSTAND: Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma are heading on their child-free honeymoon and look giddy as anything.

You can really, really love your children, but also be really, really excited to enjoy a holiday, or your honeymoon, with your partner – sans kids.

Leaving for their honeymoon, newlyweds Hilary Duff, 32, and Matthew Koma, 32, looked every bit giddy and in love, with the Lizzie McGuire star sharing an Instagram story to commemorate the moment.

The couple share one-year-old daughter, Banks, while Hilary also co-parents her seven-year-old son, Luca, with her ex-partner, Mike Comrie, however, neither child were anywhere to be seen.

“What’s that sound,” asked Hilary as the couple were walking through the airport terminal.

“It’s [the sound of] someone else’s kid… not ours… why?”

“Because we don’t have kids?” joked an equally excited Matthew.

“We still have kids… they’re just not with us,” she joked back, adding that she was excited at the prospect of “no diaper bags and no early wake-ups”.

The couple got married at the end of 2019 in a stunning sunset ceremony at their home in LA.

The 32-year-old actress wore a caped Jenny Packham gown before changing into a gold crop and skirt for the reception.

Lizzie McGuire would have been proud.

2. “I couldn’t believe who it was.” Meghan Markle just helped a couple take a selfie in Canada.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are holidaying in Canada, spending time with Archie, soaking up the sights with many hikes and volunteering themselves as photographers for surprised strangers.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were out hiking on New Year's Day when they saw a young couple trying to take a photo together with a selfie stick.

Asymina Kantorowicz, 29, and her boyfriend Iliya Pavlovic were approached by a group of three, with one of them offering to help.

"We’ve been doing this hike on New Year’s Day for the past two years. We took a little picnic out and we were finishing up and trying to get some selfies with the nice backdrop when a woman came up to us and asked if we wanted her to take our photo," Kantorowicz told People.

"We had noticed the group before, it was otherwise pretty secluded. They had two dogs with them and we wanted to pet one."

So fair.

The pair didn't notice who the woman was at first but recognised one of the people with her as Abigail Spencer, Meghan's former Suits co-star and close friend. Then, she realised the woman taking their photo was Meghan herself.

"I’m a Suits fan and I first noticed Abigail and then I looked up and realised it was Meghan taking the photo. Then I looked back at the group and realised Prince Harry was there too," Kantorowicz said.

She said Meghan was "super friendly", and took three photos of the couple before leaving with the group.

"She handed me the phone and said, 'Happy New Year!' and we said, 'Thanks and Happy New Year'."

As for the photos... Well, Meghan's a good photographer. You can see for yourself here.

3."Kicking off 2020 with this little rocket." Love Island's Cassie Lansdell has a new twin boyfriend.

Love Island's Cassie Lansdell welcomed in the New Year by debuting her new boyfriend on Instagram.

Cassie is dating Neil Szlagowski, who is one half of DJ duo Seeing Double with his twin Jake.

The 27-year-old shared a photo of herself with Neil on New Year's Eve at midnight. She didn't tag him in the photo, but her followers did some serious detective work to track him down.

Coincidentally, Cassie's ex-boyfriend Luke Packham was also a twin.

The couple split in November after meeting on Love Island Australia.

4. Katy Perry just opened up about her relationship with Orlando and says they "pull the poison out of each other".

Dark Horse singer Katy Perry has been with her fiance and Pirates of the Caribbean actor, Orlando Bloom, since 2016 and they seem to be a match made in heaven.

Speaking to Vogue India, Perry, 35, said their relationship was equal parts a “partnership, friendship, truth and being an absolute mirror to someone".

Sounds delightful and very well-functioning.

“I have a partner who is also all about finding a balance — Orlando, who is on a spiritual journey of his own,” she said.

“He’s an anchor who holds me down, and he’s very real.”

“He’s not the No. 1 fan of Katy Perry, but he’s the No. 1 fan of Katheryn Hudson,” she added, referring to her birth name.

She also called their romance a "never-ending cleanse," but in the best way possible.

“When we first met, he said we would pull the poison out of each other, and we really do.

“It’s exhausting, but we really hold each other accountable.”

And heading into 2020, may we all find the Orlando Bloom to our Katy Perry (or vice versa).

Total coincidence that the couple who were allegedly "struggling" to take a selfie before being helped out by the most private of private royal members also work for CTV, the same network that Ben Mulroney works for. And it all sounds suspiciously like the story of the woman who alleges to have stumbled on Hilary Clinton out hiking in the wilderness a few days after being defeated by Trump. And surprise, surprise: Clinton and Harry/Megan share the same publicist.

Such a collective coincidence!
