Just 5 celebrities we all forgot competed on Dancing With The Stars Australia.

Dancing With The Stars has been a constant source of entertainment in the lives of Australians for the past 16 years.

And as a new season premieres on Channel 10 tonight, with a new class of celebrities set to put their sparkles on and shimmer around, we’re taking a look back at the contestants we forgot were on the show.

Because honestly, the calibre of the celebrities have been impressive.

And you know what isn’t spoken about often enough? The fact that Pauline Hanson got further on Dancing With The Stars than Chris Hemsworth. (They were on different seasons. But STILL.) Mind = discombobulated.

Here are the five celebrities we forgot were on Dancing With The Stars.

Chris Hemsworth

In 2006, actor Chris Hemsworth competed on DWTS before his Thor days. The Hollywood star was partnered with professional dancer Abbey Ross and ultimately placed fifth in the competition.

Pauline Hanson

Okay. This is... weird, most notably because we have all forgotten this happened.

In 2004, the politician clearly impressed the judges with her dancing skills because, not only did Pauline Hanson compete on DWTS, but she came second place, too.

And she looks like she's never been happier than in the above photo.

Bec Hewitt

Well. Bec Hewitt (then Cartwright) was apparently the only contestant who could beat Pauline Hanson, taking out the gold trophy in 2004.

She was partnered with Michael Miziner and was a clear favourite with the judges.

Samantha Armytage

In 2011, Sunrise co-host Samantha Armytage competed on the show, and despite her constant clashes with the judges, managed to come fourth overall.

One clash, in particular, was with Todd McKenney, who told the journalist: "It was dull.

"If that’s the best of your ability you’ve got to find more hours to put in. You’ve got to move your a*se. Move it."

Lara Bingle

Lara Bingle (now Worthington), was on the 2011 series of the show, partnered with Carmelo Pizzino. And, no surprises, Todd McKenney gave Bingle some harsh criticism as well.

"Lara, you have natural ability but ultimately you’re dull. You don’t have the X factor," he said in one episode. Ouch.
