Nothing quite tells a story like a birthing photo.
They’re raw, real, breathtaking. They remind us just how kick-ass mums can be and are ultimately the most incredible displays of love.
This perfectly encapsulates the winning entries of the Birth Becomes Her 2019 Birth Photography Contest.
This year’s competition received over 1200 images from birth photographers around the world, making it the biggest contest yet.

Everthing appears so squishy and a tad messy - I want my money back Hollywood, New Idea, Cosmo et al, you lied to me!
Where are the c-section photos? Is birth via c-section not beautiful? All birth is glorious and is captured often in photographs. I’m sick of women being shamed or undervalued for having a c-section. Birth is birth. Babies are born. Birth is beautiful regardless. Show it!
Maybe photographers aren’t allowed in the room during the operation?
