Chrissie Swan's totally achievable New Year's resolutions.

Chrissie Swan is an absolute legend.

She’s best friends with Joel Creasey, her kids are gorgeous, and she was honest and brave enough to share with us the uncanny resemblance between Sam Wood and her friend’s cat:

And, now, when it came to New Year’s resolutions for 2016, she has truly outdone herself.

She posted a series of pictures to her Instagram account, with the theme of ‘achievable New Year’s resolutions’.

The 42-year-old’s resolutions included unsubscribing from all the emails that clog your inbox (AMEN), eating more salmon nigiri (obviously), and splurging on the occasional $10 eyebrow dye job.

Swan’s resolutions were nothing short of gold. In the world of Instagram, where the focus on superficial self-improvement is so extreme, it’s refreshing to see some goals for the new year that are personal, practical, and honest.

The moment we fell in love with Chrissie Swan and her son, Leo. Post continues after video.

The best thing about Swan’s humorous game is the message they send: let’s be a little easier on ourselves in 2016. Let’s set goals we can actually achieve.

Take a look at the full list of Chrissie Swan’s achievable New Year’s resolutions for 2016:

#1: Eat more salmon nigiri.

  #2: Surround yourself with squirrels.

#3: Eat dinner. Ignore the children.

#4: Invest in occasional eyebrow dye job.

#5: Do little things for the ones you love.

#6: Unsubscribe from those emails that clog your inbox.

#7: Look after your toes. Treat yo’self.

I’m going to take a leaf out of Chrissie Swan’s book, and make a few of my own achievable New Year’s resolutions. I’m going to pat my dog more often, eat hummus more regularly, and surround myself with (other people’s babies). And it’s going to be a good year – I can feel it.

What are your achievable New Year’s resolutions?

Having my first pedicure and shellac is my top resolution! I'd already decided, then my mum got me a pedicure voucher for Christmas. The universe clearly agrees.

Email purge, yes! Slightly embarrassed I didn't know it was ok to shellac toenails. Not the wood finish tho', surely?
