Salma Hayek is addicted to breast-feeding and Will and Lehmo want to know what it tastes like.

I used to do a regular spot on Will and Lehmo’s drive show on Triple M but I haven’t been in for a radio chat since before I gave birth. I went back in earlier this week and the boys had a lot of questions about breastfeeding.

They wanted to know if I did it in public (sure, when your baby is hungry, there aren’t a lot of options other than wearing a burka or finding a toilet cubicle, neither of which appeal).
They also wanted to know if I breastfeed in front of male relatives because Wil’s sister had a baby the same time as me and he finds it disconcerting when she whips her boob out to feed.

My answer? See the first question.

And then Lehmo asked me if my husband had tasted my milk. No. He prefers soy.

Lehmo said when he worked on another radio show and they asked for men to call in if they’d tasted their partner’s milk and the switchboard jammed with calls from men who said yes.

They were a lot like giggly school boys about the whole thing which took me a bit by surprise. When you’re breastfeeding, your boobs are about as sexy as your elbows so it never occurs to me that they’re still, well, boobs.

Meanwhile, Salma says she can’t give up breastfeeding. She told Style magazine:

“I’m like an alcoholic. It is like, I don’t care if I cry, I don’t care if I
am fat, I am just going to do it for one more week, one more month, and
then when I see how much good it is doing her and I can’t stop. The
myth that says you lose all this weight when you breastfeed! That is so
not true! It’s like, please, will everyone stop telling me I look
really well.”

*Swoon* sigh... *Swoon*
THANK YOU Mia - you have made my year!
I can imagine how popular he is, it didn't go unnoticed in this household when he became single earlier this year. My partner Brett rolled his eyes and (half serious) offered to start wearing nail polish again hahahaha. (He knows how much I love Wil, almost as much as he loves Drew Barrymore )
I met Wil once at a Big Day Out years ago and he was so approachable and down to earth (I didn't hang around long as i imagined he just wanted to chill out and listen to the music) At the time I convinced myself that we were totally compatible - about the same age, same taste in music, same political beliefs, an interest in social justice, love meeting interesting people and sharing a yarn etc etc and could easily picture him hanging out on my back deck in his pluggers having a few drinks with my friends and I.
Not long after, I was lucky enough to meet a wonderful man (wearing a Beastie Boys shirt - a sign from above) at a youthwork forum harping on about social justice and flaws in the "Systems". Who (when not involved in serious debates) appeared to be extremely quirky, cute and funny (and more!) I decided he was a 'keeper' and sometimes you can find him on our deck (not in pluggers tho) drinking and solving the world's problems with my mates- in between fart jokes of course :)
Mia - without making me sound like a crazy/psycho/stalker person, please let Wil know I think he is fantastic. Thanks :)
