For those on little known website Facebook, you would have seen a huge amount of people changing their display picture to incorporate a multi-coloured gay pride flag in solidarity and acceptance of the LGBTQI+ community’s huge win in the U.S.
Despite this positive movement, there sadly remain some fools who aren’t on board with this decision (yet).
This was demonstrated when wedding photographer Clinton Brentwood Lee of Brentwood Photography changed his company’s profile picture to incorporate the flag, and was met with a customer who withdrew their business and asked for a refund as a result.
But Brentwood delivered a reply that was equal parts hilarious, clever and wonderfully cheeky.
He prefaced the post with this wonderful message to his Facebook followers:
But Brentwood’s equality train did not just stop there.
Despite receiving some much deserved positive attention for his reply, the company also received some push-back. But like the equality warrior Brentwood is, he had a fitting reply to all disgruntled customers.

So we don't have the right to chose what we believe in anymore? We all have to support same sex marriage. The end. We can all wave our rainbow flags til we're dizzy but in the end we are all individually responsible for how we live our lives. Stand up for what you sincerely truly believe is right whether or not it's acceptable to popular belief.
Support and believe what you like, but it's when you attempt to obstruct or instruct others with regards to your belief system is when you're going to hit problems.
Would you feel it fair that I withdrew my business from you because I disagree with your religiosity?
You can believe what you like - you can even choose not to participate in or attend same sex marriages, if you like - that's your perogative. What you can't do is restrict someone else's legal and civil rights because of your opinion or belief.
It's fine to not believe in same sex marriage, just don't stop others supporting it if they want to, & asking for a refund from your wedding photographer just because they support same sex marriage is going pretty overboard.
