For many women, the thought of being The One Before The One is horrifying.
The person who you meet and date before you meet and date the love of your life.
The starter girlfriend. The pre-wife. Or, as this woman calls it: The One before The One.
But imagine how you would feel if this happened to you not once, but many times over?
That’s exactly what happened to Tinder user Brittany.
The 25-year-old describes her “gift” on her Tinder profile, which is equal parts funny and scary.
“Congratulations, you’ve stumbled across my profile! Which means you have excellent taste and you’re going to meet your future wife, BUT IT WON’T BE ME. Why? Because I am the one before the one”.
Brittany has an extraordinary matchmaking “gift”.
She goes on to describe the way her matchmaking gift works:
“We’ll exchange some texts and go on a few great dates, and then BAM you’ll meet your future Mrs. I don’t know how or why, however I’ve been bestowed this gift of being an involuntary matchmaker, without ever meeting the other person that I set you up with”.
We feel for you Brittany – that’s got to hurt. But with your sense of humour, we’re sure you will be just fine.

Totally get where she is coming from. A handful of my exes went on to have kids and get engaged and a few of them are already married. I have been the one before the one since I started properly dating.
