I don’t understand how anyone can justify her actions. I think any normal human being regardless of having mental issues or not would never encourage someone to take their own life. Its sickening people actually agree with her actions

This case was such an aberration and so politically driven- if this is the new standard we should start prosecuting the parents, counsellors, teachers, bullies, doctors of every person who takes their life. Is Michelle really more culpable than the parents who failed to get him psychological help with his severe depression and the father who abused him? It doesnt make much sense to me that they get to blame everything on her without taking any accountability.

@cat it's a little different in that she actively encouraged him to do it.
I don't think that should he a crime though.

are you kidding me? Do you have children? Does Michelle Carter have mental health issues, YES but she told him to get back into his truck. She sealed his fate 100%. Conrad didn't want to die. She is a narcissistic and has mental health issues. She should be in therapy for the rest of her life. I'm not saying she's "evil" but she has some serious issues. SSRI drugs are also dangerous especially for ppl under the age of 21. This is a very very sad story and I hope the Roy family finds some sort of peace.

@ajtrade70 As soon as you use someone having mental health issues as an insult or an attack you discredit yourself. And no, SSRIs aren't dangerous, untreated depression is. Conrad's life could easily have been saved if he had some.
