"Unpopular opinion: Matty J should totally, definitely NOT win The Bachelorette."

Last week, I wrote about why I’m firmly Team Courtney.

Now, I’m going against what millions of The Bachelorette fans are dreaming and praying for, and declaring that Matty J should not be the recipient of Georgia Love’s final rose.

*Braces for the wrath of Australian women…*

Hear me out.

I’m not saying Matty J isn’t the most amazing, beautiful, loving and caring man to ever grace our television screens since… well, since ever, if we’re being totally honest.

I’m just saying that I don’t want him to win.

He’s into Georgia, it’s plain to see.

Heck, he’s even said that he has fallen for her “hook, line and sinker”.

Which is why he needs to be saved from becoming the 2016 male version of Nikki Gogan.

There's another, overarching reason I don't want him to be the final man standing...and yeah, it's pretty darn selfish.

Have you ever stopped to think about the fact that Matty J ending up with Georgia means there's NO CHANCE of Matty J ending up with YOU?

Listen to the latest episode of Bach Chat, the podcast where we talk all things Bachelorette.

Did you ever think about that? Huh?

Nope. No you did not.

There will be no Matty J hanging off your arm to help you survive those awkward family dinners. He won't be rocking a velvet blue jacket as your date to your work Christmas party.

He will not be dancing with you on a love boat as it sails around Sydney Harbour.

Also, if Matty J wins, we'd lose the $20 we bet on Lee from the start. He had a donkey, you guys. To be fair, it was a pretty safe bet at the time.

Getting serious for a second: there's also the very real difference in Georgia and Matty's parenting timelines.

We know from their hometown date last week — and Matty's slightly terrifying older sister — that Matty is ready to become a father and probably already has names picked out (we're thinking Sammy J and Becky J).

Georgia Love seems like a great gal. In fact, we know for sure she's one of the GREATEST gals. But we would be just as happy seeing her declare her love for Lee or Jake.

Even if it's only because we want him all to ourselves. #SorryNotSorry.

See which guys are still in the competition for Georgia's heart.

My wife has never watched this show and I told her about it. Her question summed it up. Why would a stunningly attractive woman who would have no difficulty attracting suitors go on TV looking for love, I'm not buying it. Wise woman my partner

I think Lee is a safe bet geographically.

Matty for the next Batchelor.
